SarahPAC: Setting The Record Straight – Wrong & Misleading

Posted on August 22 2011 - 11:33 PM - Posted by:

SarahPAC released the following statement:

Three years ago DC pundits predicted with glee the demise of Sarah Palin’s political career. This past weekend their tune changed, citing false information that she has made a decision and set a date regarding a future campaign. Any professional pundit claiming to have “inside information” regarding Governor Palin’s personal decision is not only wrong but their comments are specifically intended to mislead the American public. These are the same tired establishment political games that fuel the 24-hour news cycle and that all Americans will hopefully reject in 2012, and this is more of the “politics-as-usual” that Sarah Palin has fought against throughout her career.

PS – Kudos to CNN for setting the record straight and including Governor Palin’s own words.

Here is an excerpt from the CNN article by Peter Hamby referenced above:

Here she is, in her own words:

Q: When is a good time? Do you have a timeline?

Palin: I have said that that August/September timeframe is important for logistical and legal reasons to jump in there, but…

Q: So by next month?

Palin: I think that just practically speaking that has to be kind of a drop dead time. Also, in fairness to supporters, who are standing on the timeline, and this is what I have told Todd over and over again, I don’t want to be seen as or perceived as stringing people along, asking supporters, ‘Oh don’t just jump in there on someone else’s bandwagon because I may jump in, so hold off a little bit.’ That is not fair to them. After another month or two goes by, they need to know who it is that they can jump behind. Now more than ever, everybody has got to get involved in this 2012 election. They need to get out there and campaign for their chosen candidates, its all the more reason to hurry up and decide.

A few moments later, there was this exchange:

Q: Will you know by the next time you are here in Iowa whether you will be in, over Labor Day?

Palin: I doubt it. By the next time I am here by September 3? I don’t know if within the next couple of weeks I will be ready for an announcement or not.

Q: So the end of September is no longer a viable deadline?

Palin: No, he was asking about my next visit here on September 3, if I would be ready for an announcement September 3. And I said I don’t know if I would be ready by September 3.

Q: So the end of September would still be your timetable?

Palin: That is still a possibility for a timetable. Yes, definitely.

Yep, I barely pinged the list and BAM, there was that rude, off-topic, Perry post! I wasn’t aware that the post was a SPAM post until another member informed me in a much later post! Dear Lord, that’s desperation and outright trolling. No manners at all!

I love your comments to Jim. He doesn’t mince words. I didn’t see his posts until I had replied to the poster more than a couple of times.

Thank You, onyx. May God and Jesus Bless All of US and our Republic. May Sarah be there with our Lord and Jesus and may God directed her and her family to what will be best for our Republic. No doubt, God’s will, will be. Should Sarah declare, another prayer, God please keep and hold Sarah and her family in Your Hands forever, in Jesus Name. Amen.

If you liked GHWB or GWB particularly on illegal immigration, you’re sure to like Perry

..Amen, onyx--if Goodhair is the answer, it's a stupid question...

I trust Sarah Palin and I have confidense in her judgement of the odds. She knows more than I and has resources I don't. So perhaps she is the one who can help us save our country. I spent some time this morning watching videos of Perry and was surprised at his lack of charisma. I don't find him likeable and he is not the convincing speaker Sarah is.After hearing Sarah speak, what a let down listening to Perry

which means that our prayers have been answered: she’s running! Can we believe these prayers are being answered for nought?

"Battle of Thermopylae"

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Part of the Greco-Persian Wars

The Battle of Thermopylae was fought between an alliance of Greek city-states, led by King Leonidas of Sparta, and the Persian Empire of Xerxes I over the course of three days, during the second Persian invasion of Greece. It took place simultaneously with the naval battle at Artemisium, in August or September 480 BC, at the pass of Thermopylae ('The Hot Gates').

The Persian invasion was a delayed response to the defeat of the first Persian invasion of Greece, which had been ended by the Athenian victory at the Battle of Marathon. Xerxes had amassed a huge army and navy, and set out to conquer all of Greece. The Athenian general Themistocles had proposed that the allied Greeks block the advance of the Persian army at the pass of Thermopylae, and simultaneously block the Persian navy at the Straits of Artemisium."

Xerxes offered King Leonidas complete rule over Greece, if he would just bow down to him and surrender his arms... Leonidas told Xerxes that his knee bent for no man... and concerning the laying down of arms... King Leonidas also stated "Molan Labe"... Come and take them! Well if perry wants our vote... he will have to come and take them from us... for we will not give them to him and we will not bend on knee before him.

” If you liked GHWB or GWB particularly on illegal immigration, you’re sure to like Perry. And then you have to ask yourself, just how electable will another governor of Texas be just 4 short years after GWB? “

Exactly!

Was here reading this thread at 3:45 this morning, but hadn’t time to post due our schedule during the weekdays.

I came back at 5:12 AM PDT, and have read every post to this point.

Thanks for calling CW on this. Perhaps we can have some peace in future threads without the spamming for Perry.

Mrs. RQSR, and myself don’t like Perry, and we don’t trust him. As we posted to another thread awhile back this coming election we must at least trust who we elect.

We are hoping Mrs. Palin will toss her hat into the ring. As yourself we are prepared to support her with as much as we can monetarily.

We see in her “Americanism”. We don’t see her caving, and allowing this Nation to lose its sovereignty to appease a World of Leftist enemies. We don’t see her caving to the establishment that has grown as a fungus grows in a Petri tray in D.C.

We need her “Americanism”, her strength of character, and we need to support her Presidency with a congenial Congress. That Congress has to be a priority regardless.

We cannot afford middle of the road, go along to get along. Those days should have never been, but as they were we cannot now afford anymore. There’s too much to do. We have to yank the reins, and pull this pony around. Git ‘er back on that trail to prosperity once again.

The Left has to be subdued. That means the Democrats have to be out of office. The RINO’s have to be out of office. The damages inflicted upon this Nation by those entities have to be repaired, and the ability to further their mischief has to be nullified.

With the support of the American people she can do it. She won’t be alone, because the American people have had it with the Left/RINO’s, and with the mediocrity that otherwise prevails in the theater of politics out there today.

If she runs the majority of the American people will stand with her as they stood with RWR we believe.

I meant to reply to your very cute comment about Piper knowing and Piper keeping a secret!!! (You betcha).

Like you, I also trust in Sarah!

I can wait for her to announce, whenever she's ready! I just know that she is running *for us* and our Republic. We will have to see that she is first nominated and then elected!

Take heart. Palin still outnumbers all the other potential candidates combined, ten-to-one in grassroots support, and that is where it matters.

Contrary to what the MSM would have us believe, this election will be won and lost on the interwebs, moreso that even the 2008 fiasco, and on the net Sarah Palin is far and away the favored candidate. Facebook, Twitter, and the blogosphere are dominated by pro-Palin (and anti-Palin) discussions. Ten-to-one pro-Palin on the internet is actually an understatement, with regard to all the potential GOP candidates.

About 150 million people in the USA are using Facebook on a daily basis. On Twitter, you can do a search on "Rick Perry" and most of the Tweets are from pro-Palin entities, or are about "Rick who?".

All the media hype is just that -- hype, and that includes the establishment GOP pundits on Fox. All the MSM news outlets combined do not, and cannot, get 150 million viewers per day. Palin will never get the hard-core left-wing liberals, but neither will any other GOP candidate.

As for these bizarro polls showing whatever, I don't know where they are getting their samples, but they aren't from mainstreet America.

God bless you my dear for drop kicking the trolls out. Yet, there is no way in hell I am supporting Perry or anyone else in this current Pubbie field.

I am as always patiently await the word from my chosen candidate/general Gov. Sarah Palin. I steadfastly believe in her wisdom and leadership in this all important fight for my country. When she is ready, I am ready.

Now, I need to get some sleep!

When we eat, she tries to act like she isn’t begging. She will put her head in your lap and roll her eyes up with a forlorn look. She wants you to feel sorry for her.

It is pretty funny.
