Former New York Gov. George Pataki is taking a harder look at running for president, saying Democratic President Obama is faltering and the Republican field is thinning.
Spokesman David Catalfamo said Monday that several factors are in play as the 66-year-old Pataki again considers a White House run.

lol. He and Huntsman will battle for last place.

Best of all, they compete for Romneyvotes.
Any traction Pataki gets will come at Mittens' expense.
They will both be ahead of Gingrich/Pelosi.
“Pataki Mulls Possible Presidential Run”
Dear me....why?
Come on in George. The water’s fine. And I haven’t laughed myself silly in awhile. Bring it on!
Just what we need another East Coast, high spending, union friendly, gay friendly RINO to jump in. George you really haven’t gauged the mood of this country at present very well have you? Conservatives are arguing amongst ourselves about whether Perry, a tough looking, gun toting, fire breathing Texan IS really a conservative or not and you think you have a chance? Save your money George.
Dang. Just when I’d almost forgotten he ever existed....
OH BOY! Have I been waiting for this or what? Jeepers! Where do I sign up as a volunteer and give him all my money???? What an opportunity! Holy Cow!
I’m so tired of Pataki and Rudy ‘mulling’ presidential runs. Either of the two might might have been of great value to the party if they had ever challenged Hillary or Gillibrand for the Senate. But I guess now, if they can’t be president, they don’t want to participate.
Neither is going to be president so they both might as well just retire and stop mulling presidential runs.
Former New York Gov. George Pataki is taking a harder look at running for president, saying Democratic President Obama is faltering and the Republican field is thinning... Obama's lack of a serious plan to deal with the nation's debt, and the Republican's own moderate views, including the support of abortion rights... In New Hampshire, voters not enrolled in a party can vote in either party's February primary... no Democratic primary... Independents make up nearly 42 percent of registered voters in New Hampshire... The three-term governor... had favored Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, who recently said he wouldn't run... His record in New York will show that he erased a $5 billion debt he inherited from Democratic Gov. Mario Cuomo and cut taxes, but he also presided over a period in which New York amassed billions of dollars more in spending and debt./small>
I think there are financial reasons behind these mullings.
I don't know the law exactly, but I believe that if you are considering a run you can begin to accept campaign donations. Then, after you opt out, you can convert the campaign money into personal money.
There's likely some more complicated (and accurate) way to explain it, but the bottom line is Pataki can be given money this way, and there's somebody who wants to give him money for some reason.
It's shenanigans all the way down.
“New Yorker sees opening in GOP field, aide says”
For another RINO?
Some ego on these guys.
Pataki is obviously a non-factor.
But you can see more of the “insiders” picking up the scent of Baraq’s vulnerability.
The R nominee is likely the next POTUS.
Pataki is a joke....but udy..in the RCP average, he’s at 9.7%..equal to Paul, and he’s done nothing in the way of campaigning...weird, eh?
fuggetaboudit.
Romney is toast. Perry is imploding faster than one could have imagined or hoped. Need a new RINO. Voila—Pataki.
Talk about a moldy oldie. GOP is in big doo doo if that’s the best it can do. I think the smart money in the GOP knows it will get beaten by a Tea Party Conservative if it persists in serving up RINOs.
What will be intertesting is to see what the GOP’s marxist demrat handlers will do. Whatever happens I doubt the demrats will allow conservatives to retake the GOP.
Seems like every 4 years since 2000 that Pataki is “considering a run” for the White House...followed by an inevitable *yawn* from the electorate.
