Romney is not my choice, but I will vote for him in a heart beat over Obama.

And even if he isn’t my choice, I’d rather see money going to a republican than obama. This is a positive.

So instead of donating to an idiot liberal, these so-called “spurned” rich execs now decide to give to another ultra liberal?

Obama and Romney are both flip floppers — same mold.

Romney is a backstabber.

NO RINOs.

No Backstabbers.

The wall streeters who are supporting Romney financially are supporting Obama's re-election.

Of the current GOP field, only Romney and Huntsman will have difficulty beating Obaman. I don't think Huntsman will be the nominee. Romney could well be the Bob Dole of the early 21st century. And the results will be the same.

I'm not sure if Romney can win the nomination. If he does, I'm pretty sure Obama will get 4 more years.

My first choice is Palin. My second choice is probably Herman Cain. Beyond that, I think only Romney and Huntsman will lose my vote in the General election. If either of them are on the Republican line, I'll look at third parties, leave it blank, or write in Palin.

Further proof that you don’t need much in the way of intellect to be a banker or work Wall Street.

For all the saddened people here who now feel we will have a Romney nominee because some Wall Street folk are throwing their donations his way instead of to Obama, think about it.. These were the OBAMA donors to begin with! These were not donations that had gone to Republican politicians but Democrat political donations which are now going to the most-like-Obama-but-not-actually-Obama Republican they can find, Romney.

The typical Republican donors will be there, and the conservative donors will probably step up even more with a good, electable conservative candidate.

I don’t have any info on Sarah Palin who will most likely have good support if she runs.

As for Rick Perry, take a look at just one state, California, and the conservative-minded donors who have already stepped up to the plate:

Rick Perry assembles top California donors for campaign

August 15, 2011|By Tom Hamburger

An invitation has just landed in the in-boxes of California conservatives inviting them to a conference call with Texas Gov. Rick Perry on Tuesday to discuss his campaign for the GOP presidential nomination and invite their participation — particularly in the all-important realm of fundraising.

The invitation is impressive for the big-name California political and business leaders listed on it, testament to the fast work of Perry’s new but nimble California campaign supporters.

(snip)

They include: Edward Atsinger, chief executive of Salem Communications a Christian-oriented broadcasting company; Jay Hoffman, a Reagan administration veteran and international consultant; Joe Czyzyk, chief executive of Mercury Air, the worldwide aviation services company based in southern California; Michael Warder, a political commentator and a vice chancellor at Pepperdine University; Fred Sands, Los Angeles investor and developer, who has led Vintage Capital Group and Vintage Real Estate; Michael and Dean Spanos, executives with the influential Spanos construction and development companies and owners of the San Diego Chargers; Rock Zierman, ceo of the California Independent Petroleum Association; Steve Chazen, president and chief financial officer ofOccidental Petroleum.

The list also includes Shawn Steel, the former chairman of the state Republican party and his wife Michelle Park Steele, vice chair of the state Board of Equalization.

The head of California’s Independent oil producer’s organization, Rock Zierman was one of the potential donors meeting with Perry last month at a hotel in Century City. He had been impressed with the governor, his energy and job creation record.

(snip)

“I am suprised how fast people are willing to sign up and support him and pledge support at a level they hadn’t participated at before,” he said.

Any money not going to Obama is good thing even if it’s going to Romney.

One Wall Street executive, who requested anonymity, said he and some of his colleagues feel betrayed by Obama...

Why did they support Obama in the first place, and why do they feel betrayed now?

Why would people with money vote for a Socialist/Marxist?

Simple... They all thought they would get even richer sucking off the government teat. It's much easier, and more profitable, to get handouts from the government than is is to compete in the marketplace.
