If the Republican Presidential race were a poker game, you could say that Palin, the underdog has remained in late position long enough to see the full ring, to expose the live ones. Shes learned their tells, and shes seen some bust, but now its time for her to go all in with what looks to be a royal flush.
If youre not a poker player, you may need a poker dictionary to decipher my analogy. And they think she doesnt know how the game of politics is played. The good old boys just never realized that she wasnt playing by their rules.
If, or rather when, Sarah Palin announces her candidacy for President; Republican polls will likely shift in her favor.
[...]
Its looking more and more these days as if Sarah Palin will announce her run for the White House in short order. If you keep up with Palins history, you may come to the conclusion that there is no accident in her decision to go to Iowa September 3rd for what many believe will be her big announcement. September 3, 2011 is three years, to the day, that Sarah Palin accepted the nomination for Vice President and gave her famously rousing speech during the Republican National Convention.
[..]
72% of likely Republican voters say when casting their primary vote, they favor a candidate who shares their views over one who has a better chance of winning.
That turns the notion of people agreeing with Sarah Palin, but dont think she can win from a negative, into a potential strength. They are going to vote for her regardless, thus, breaking the mold of the typical voter.

>> As much as she is beloved around here, the MSM has made her such a caricature of herself that she will never, ever be able to get past the first few primaries.<<
That can be looked at two ways.
The problem is that if the media narrative about a person is based on lies, in the longer run, those lies lose effectiveness as people learn the truth from other sources, and worse yet, the lies come back to haunt their purveyors because once the audience, having originally believed them, in the second instance realizes theyve been scammed, they will thereafter no longer be inclined to believe another pronouncement given voice by that source.

I don’t get it. How did being a conservative suddenly become a bad thing?
Correct. I am a Tea Party Conservative and vote for GOP TEA Party conservatives, but in my state, we are all just registered voters, and have to ask for a particular party’s ballot, so that makes me an “independent” by default and that’s fine with me.
Oh. OK. As I said (you must have missed that part), I like Palin.
But go ahead and put me on your little list.
It seems to make you happy and I like to make people happy.
You do realize how silly that looks, right?
That one was just looking for a fight and s/he got it. Always trolling the Palin threads to incite and cause trouble.
Yeah. FR has it’s share of those.
Mail
It isn’t. It’s a false “gotcha”. In 2009 when we ran the FR Rino Free America threads lots of FReepers switched to being Independents.
Neither. It isnt even impossible to be a conservative Democrat! My mother is, although at 90, she stays Dem just to spite her first husband (who has been dead for 15 years)...”
Dem credentials, for sure....
Interesting. I had not looked into ‘tickets’ but you’re right; no presidential candidate that I’m aware of has “charged” for an appearance.
The event is going to be here in Missouri; St. Charles (a lovely historic community on the Missouri river-complete with cobblestone). As mentioned earlier, fatigue is beginning to set in regarding the “I’m still ‘thinking’ about it” when asked about running and I’m tired of contemplating it.
She does not “need” to be President to be a powerful force in the party, and in the country.
If she runs and loses, she becomes a two time loser, and no one will pay attention to her.
At this time, it is a gamble.
Please excuse my ignorance...but ...huh??
ROFL One only needs to re view the scenes at the Iowa State Fair or anywhere else for that matter. Santorum steps up on the hay bails in front of maybe 100 people at best. Romney stands behind the pork chop cooker and cant seem to find someone to give the pork chop to. Gingerich and his wife stroll down the street with nary a soul in site. Cain has a small exuberant group and Paul has a rowdy bunch of young people who intrude everywhere to make it look like he has support.
The Palin steps off the bus and needs gaurds to keep the crowd from crushing her. She cant walk down the street without people around as far as the camera allows. She sits down with Hannity and the crowds around are as far as the next buildings while Cain has a group maybe 4 deep.
Yep, not much support for Palin there. /s
She has. And we have. It is important to hear the podcast of Peter Singleton, O4P organizer and Tammy Bruce. They are both very ahead of the curve on campaign strategy. Peter has been working since last November on Iowa and has activity in all 99 Iowa counties. He says the press has no clue what is going on.
Peter says the press walks right by him. The press are locked into the old model of a campaign of big money, insider smoozers like Rove. They cannot see a grassroots, citizen led movement even when they are looking right at it.
I think that we need to turn a corner here. It is not just Sarah, it is us. As Rush said recently "we are all Sarah Palin". They attack her. They will attack us. Look at these threads. Full of foolish concern trolls and paid operatives from political boutiques. They are not sent here to attack Sarah though they do. They come here to attack us. To discourage us. To take the wind out of our sails. They are takers and destroyers. They are not builders and doers.
Doesn't that tell you something about how important we all are? Sarah needs us. America needs us. We need us.
Listen to the podcast. Peter Singleton says that we need to rewind it and listen to what Tammy says four or five times to let the importance of what Tammy says sink in. And he was the one being interviewed!
Yes, Sarah is important. But Sarah will not win or complete her mission in office unless we support her and get involved. We are the restoration of America.
Regards, Mr. Sol
Yeah, they weren’t supposed to vote for Reagan either. There were so many things the squishy middle wouldn’t like and couldn’t possibly vote for someone that conservative! I’m sure 2 landslides were just a fluke! The thing about the squishy middle is that they sway with the wind and will gravitate towards strength & confidence. 0bama campaigned as if he was that kind of person and people bought it. Now they know they’ve been had. The one who wins this election (as in 1980) will exude love of country, pride in American exceptionalism (they’re tired of being beaten down by a president who appears to think little of his country), positive, specific plans (Sarah does...don’t know if I’ve heard anyone else who has...so far it’s been platitudes, talking points and nonspecific “we need to cut spending”), strength, confidence & honesty.
She may not announce. If she does, it might not be at this event...unpredictability is one of the things that throws her opponents into a tizzy. However, I do know she’s got a servant’s heart and WILL get in if she thinks none of those running can or will do what needs to be done. And she’ll do it for the right reasons. It’s kind of like what I always tease my son about. For someone who’s such a homebody & a mama’s boy, he sure picked the wrong career. Despite the fact he always replies it’s because chicks dig Marines in dress blues, really, isn’t that the kind of person you want serving your country, the one who really knows what he’s fighting for? The president is just as important, especially now.
I think she can win, but even if she doesn’t that shouldn’t mean she shouldn’t enter. Every single candidate brings something unique to the table to compare against the others. Love her or hate her she does things her way.
