MOVING BEYOND CAPE BOJADOR
The early Portuguese explorers believed that the oceans were impassable below Cape Bojador, a point on the West African coast. When sailors set aside their fears and moved past Cape Bojador, they found that their fears were groundless, that their limitations were imaginary. We all have our own Cape Bojador. We fear things that we need not fear. We draw boundaries around areas of our lives and decide that we can't go past them. Since we believe these false paradigms, we will stay within their artificial boundaries and lose whatever experiences we might have found outside them. What limits do we set upon ourselves? Have you thought about working on your college degree, but fear getting started? Does a certain rating appeal to you, but others have told you it was unattainable, so you have remained where you are? Advancement or promotion seems so far away that we resign ourselves to our present position and fail to expand our skills and knowledge
More than 300 years before the time of Christ, Alexander the Great was marching across Asia Minor. He led the greatest army ever put together up to that time. They had conquered every foe. No one could stand up against them. They reached the Himalaya Mountains, and the advance leaders came back to Alexander full of concern and dismay. "We have marched off the map," they said. "We should go back to where we know." And they had literally marched off the known map of that time. Alexander listened to them and then said this: "Mediocre armies always stay within the known areas. The great armies always march off the map." Making decisions, initiating new relationships, starting projects, taking a leap of faith, all require that we go beyond our Cape Bojador. Are we willing to press on and take the chance of "marching off the map?" Let's go for it! Full speed ahead!

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.
G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.

GOD BLESS AND PROTECT OUR TROOPS!
Amazing Grace
by John Newton
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see. . Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, . And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed! . Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home. . The Lord has promised good to me, His Word my hope secures; He will my Shield and Portion be, As long as life endures. . Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail, And mortal life shall cease, I shall possess, within the veil, A life of joy and peace. . The earth shall soon dissolve like snow, The sun forbear to shine; But God, Who called me here below, Will be forever mine. . When weve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, Weve no less days to sing Gods praise Than when wed first begun.

PRAYERS GOING UP FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
GEORGE WASHINGTON THE PRAYER AT VALLEY FORGE
In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.
In like manner, let our prayers now rise for our heroes in the American military who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your healing wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Amen.

Saints
August 21, 2011
Its probably not a name we would use for ourselves, but the apostle Paul often called believers saints in the New Testament (Eph. 1:1; Col. 1:2). Did he call them saints because they were perfect? No. These people were human and therefore sinful. What then did he have in mind? The word saint in the New Testament means that one is set apart for God. It describes people who have a spiritual union with Christ (Eph. 1:3-6). The word is synonymous with individual believers in Jesus (Rom. 8:27) and those who make up the church (Acts 9:32).
Saints have a responsibility through the power of the Spirit to live lives worthy of their calling. This includes, but is not limited to, no longer being sexually immoral and using improper speech (Eph. 5:3-4). We are to put on the new character traits of service to one another (Rom. 16:2), humility, gentleness, patience, love, unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Eph. 4:1-3), obedience, and perseverance during hardship and suffering (Rev. 13:10; 14:12). In the Old Testament, the psalmist called saints the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight (Ps. 16:3).
Our union with Christ makes us saints, but our obedience to Gods Word through the power of the Holy Spirit makes us saintly.
Oh, to be filled with His life divine,
Oh, to be clothed with His power and might;
Oh, to reflect my dear Savior sublime,
Always to shine as the saints in light! Anon.
Saints are people whom Gods light shines through.
Read: Colossians 1:1-2
To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are in Colosse . . . .

Good evening, Gentlemen....
Is there a law that studs should never be where you need them to screw in the brackets?
I got a wall rail for the lower stairs today, but where we think the brackets should go there are no studs and for safety’s sake I’m not too keen on those thingys you put thru the drywall and then pull back and they stick. My Mom’s ability on the stairs these days is not good. She doesn’t want to go to the stair lift yet.
Our entry is 9 stairs up and 5 stairs down. They have a stair lift for the up portion, but not the down yet. It is coming. I will get on the phone with my brother and we will see how we can manager to get the railing in and safely secure.
