.....In part because he is the newest entrant, Perry has drawn large crowds this week in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. Here in Florence, he was greeted as a heartthrob Friday morning as more than 300 people jammed around tables, stood on booths and craned their necks to see past the hot breakfast buffet at Bazens Family Restaurant and take stock of the Texan.
It was one of the more enthusiastic crowds any candidate has assembled this year, and Perry did not disappoint when he tore into Obama.
The presidents been on a jobs tour, Perry said. He had his big ol bus his big ol $1.2 million bus, made in Canada. But, anyway, the real issue is our presidents out there and he goes on a jobs tour. This is the president of the United States that has killed more jobs in America than I think any president. . . . The only job he cares about is the one hes got.
Perry said his campaign is about cuttin taxes, cuttin regulations and cuttin litigation. In one of his biggest applause lines, he said: I am a pro-business governor, and I dont make any apologies to anybody about it. Im going to be a pro-business president, and I wont make any apologies about it.
Perry learned this week that what may please his Republican audiences may not go over as well with people tuning in nationwide. Speaking to a ballroom of Iowa Republicans on Sunday night, Perry said: One of the reasons, one of the powerful reasons, that Im running for the presidency of the United States is to make sure that every young man and woman who puts on the uniform of this country respects highly the president of the United States. .....

S.C.s jobless: 'People around here, they're struggling'
In Orangeburg, nearly 1 in 5 are out of work --- " ORANGEBURG South Carolinas jobless rate jumped to 10.9 percent in July, up nearly half a percentage point over June and the highest it has been all year.
But if youre jobless, particularly for the long-term jobless, the rate is 100 percent and holding and people are frustrated.
People around here, theyre struggling. People are stealing the manhole covers its just that bad around here now, said Purvis Richardson, 43, of Orangeburg, leaving the S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce office here Friday afternoon with an updated resume in his hand.
You got people running to these scrapyards, trying to sell anything, man. Thats why you see people tearing up $20,000 air-conditioner units for $50 worth of copper. Its that bad, said Richardson, who said he has not worked since 2009, when he lost his job of 10 years at a food-processing plant after some bad product got out the door and the blame fell to him.
Orangeburg Countys unemployment rate soared to 17.7 percent last month, according to figures released Friday, catapulting the county from 10th place to 4th place in the states unemployment sweepstakes, an honor nobody is trying to win. Only Marlboro, Allendale and Marion counties had higher rates, topping out at 20 percent.<<<..........
Keith Kalvin, 49, has been unemployed for about a year. Kalvin, a resident of Orangeburg for thirty years,
says a lot of friends have to drive to other cities to find work. Orangeburg has the worst unemployment rate in the Midlands.
A sign outside a business in West Tisbury, Mass., welcomed the Obamas to Marthas Vineyard for their 10 day stay.
The Obama family's favorite vacation rental Blue Heron Farm in Chilmark is a 28-acre compound, owned by William and Mollie Van Devender of Mississippi. It overlooks Tisbury Great Pond and the Atlantic Ocean and features a boathouse, basketball court, pool, barn, and a single hole golf course.
That, alone, should tell you everything you need to know about him.
that blackboard is priceless!
the peace symbol and a pacifist president at war.
Again, as an anti-Perry poster wanting to be the first to kick Perry, you didn't even take time to read the article.
The peace symbol has morphed into just another symbol for Leftists. They believe that when the Left engages in war, then that war is just fine.
“All we are saying is give peace when there is a republican president a chance.”
CFR Rick ? Really ?
It matters not who writes about RINO Rick or who roots for RINO Rick, he is not a conservative.
I love Perry's jabs. He understands it doesn't take much to needle Obama and force a knee jerk reaction. He's shaping the dialogue in a way that forces Obama to react to the things Perry wants to talk about.
They have a sale on tinfoil going on at Lowe’s right now..maybe you should stock up today whilst on your way to the McVeigh memorial service. We got 500+ days until election day and you need to pick a side. Either start shooting the proper enemy or get out of the way.
I missed that part in the article. Could you please show it to me? Thanks.
It’s more fun to watch the desperation among the Palin Cult around here. They are about to melt down any second. Some of them already have.
WaPo is rooting for CFR-Rick.
Well amongst the ‘ins’ he’s at least better than some.
I think you newbies are the ones who are going to have to be getting out of the way.
If Perry is NWO , CFR, and Bilderburg , he better know the secret handshakes or i’m not voting for him ...
Stop with the RINO thing. If you try to tar everyone then it losses force. Perry is more conservative then Romney or Bush. He definitely is not a favorite on 7th street, at least not yet.
It matters not who writes about RINO Rick or who roots for RINO Rick, he is not a conservative.
Here. You'll need this for your anti-Perry FReeper ping list -- maybe they're already on board. Keep the seats clean. We paid for it. BHO looks happy to see you.
