KISS frontman Gene Simmons: Rick Perry will be our next president
Hot Air ^ | August 16, 2011 | TINA KORBE

Just looking at a picture of KISS grosses me out, but you’ve gotta wonder whether Gene Simmons might be on to something with a prediction he tweeted yesterday.

“I voted for Pres Bush. I voted for Pres Clinton. I voted for Pres Obama. The next president will be Gov Rick Perry,” Simmons broadcasted.

A few minutes later, he backed up the prediction with another tweet touting what few conservatives would consider to be Perry’s most sterling credential.

“Gov Perry worked for Al Gore and then switched to Republican. He will be our next President. I’ve never been wrong,” Simmons wrote.

But, before you disqualify his opinion because he voted for Clinton and Obama, consider that Simmons has been vocal about his regret for the way he cast his vote in 2008. The Daily Caller has more:

[ Gene says his annual income is 30M, from his businesses and from his success. What’s yours? ]

Warren Buffetts income is much greater than that and look what an idiot he is..
The LAST thing the federal government needs is MORE MONEY...

Actually it sold very well, compared to the previous albums they did with the makeup.

But if they removed all their make-up, how would we know if it's them?

My brain hurts.

Well, my political advisor is Ted Nugent, and Ted Nugent says . . .

Exactly the same thing Simmons is saying. It would have been a given considering their friendship, but just for certainty's sake, Nugent came out for Perry yesterday in the WT.

"Well what about that album where you and your KISS buddies removed your make-up? How'd that album sell for you?"

"Anybody who quotes twit tweets should be banned...."

I have seen DOZENS of posts quoting tweets from a former Gov of Alaska.

It seems shallow, but I'm a MOBster, so that tweet stuff is all foreign to me.

Anybody who quotes twit tweets should be banned from all reputable news forums .

This is Free Republic, where all news sources are questionable, all journalists (bloggers, commentators, op-ed writers, etc) are twits and no post, candidate, writing style, political position or choice in music is above criticism. You can't ban all of us.

“KISS....Now that’s a study in intelligence.”

Four mildly talented geeky Jewish kids who invent a way to be massively rich on busic and merchandise, have literally millions of beautiful women throwing themelves at them, and yet wore masks throughout 99% of their careers and so could also be normal people, without the price of fame?

Immoral, pehaps.

But very, very intelligent.

Thanks for "schoolin'" me.

I was under the impression that the album sucked and didn't sell well.

Apparently the album sucked and did sell well.

I hope that is true, I'm sick of mealy mouthed politicians. Just sick to death of them. And it's about time Obama had to deal with the rough and tumble politics that Bush, Palin, etc. have had to deal with. I think he might be in the padded room by now had that happened. Can you imagine if someone had said something about his daughter like Letterman said about Palin’s daughter, oh my we'd still be hearing about it and Letterman would be performing in basement of a cheap hotel.

You can have good judgement about what idiots want, does not make you the person to listen to for financial advice, or political, or love life.

If starting a band, yes. Running a country, no.

BTW, take any 2 words from the english language, (Adj/Noun) and it’s a band’s name. Seriously. Maybe a band in someone’s basement, but a band. (hey, 99% of bands are basement bands, anyway).

I’m in a “wait and see” status on Perry. I’m going to ignore all the attack stories being posted by Paultards and those trying to push Romney back to the top, and decide for myself from what I see from him over the next several weeks. The next debate or two will either solidify my support for him, or will make me rally around Bachmann or others who may still jump in.

Rick Perry will be our next president

Well, at least we'd have a president who could hold his own with Putin.

If you don’t like our President bowing and scraping in front of Muslim leaders, Perry calls them “His Highness”

http://governor.state.tx.us/news/speech/5156/

Perry is EXCITED we are getting new mosques built in Texas (excerpt from speech)

Perry: “it is with great excitement that we welcome the first Ismaili Center in America.”

Buffet is brilliant in the fact that he gets the federal government to do his bidding. Soros changes governments and destroys countries. Heck, I heard it told he made ten billion on the downgrade alone. We are so not in the know. Just the way it is. Nevertheless, Gene is saying what he thinks. He thinks Perry will be president. I can’t be so sure of that. But to call him stupid is like hating your neighbor because he has a better job than you. None of these folks are stupid. We collectively are.
