WASHINGTON -- President Obama is barnstorming the heartland to boost US jobs in a taxpayer-financed luxury bus the government had custom built -- in Canada, The Post has learned.
The $1.1 million vehicle, one of two that Quebec-based Prevost sold the government, has been tricked out by the Secret Service with state-of-the-art security features and creature comforts.
It's a VIP H3-45 model, the company's top of the line, and is used by major traveling rock bands.
"That's the more luxurious model," Christine Garant of Prevost told The Post.

So when and how was the money authorized by Congress? And if the money wasn't appropriated by Congress, where the heck did the money come from? I'd like to know :)
The busses were ordered by the secret service, but I think they still have to get authorization from congress. If they were ordered in July 2010, then it was authorized by Pelosi. figures.
So are these buses for a one-time use??? Wonder how often he rides a bus :(

Interesting he’s touring the heartland in a bus with no windows. Wouldn’t want reality pouring in.

Maybe they are black looking from the outside? I haven’t read about them, lol.
Well, I haven’t heard any of any of the cable news networks saying anything about his million dollar bus being made in Canada. I could have missed it. It should be saved, however, for a political ad during the General Election.
Isn't that what Obama always does....blame Bush? To use a popular idiom, the bugger is obsessed with Bush, most likely because he knows his feet are swimming around in Bush's shoes.
Besides, Pal, there are two sides to every issue. Both sides are often guilty of snap pronouncements when a story is still fresh out of the gate, with few details. That's all I was saying; I'm always wary of politicians' fondness for "traps".
OK—understood.
The wheels on the bus go round and round...crushing American industry.
Anyhoo—I’m glad it was made in Canada and not in China!
