NEW YORK - Verizon Communications (VZ.N) is sending its 45,000 striking workers notice that their health insurance benefits will expire at the end of the month if they are not back at work. The company said on Tuesday that it has started to send out letters to the strikers in response to questions about how healthcare coverage will be affected by the strike, which started on August 7. The Communications Workers of America (CWA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) called a strike after they failed to reach a labor agreement with the company

A monopoly vs a union, can they both lose?
Obama wont allow this
>>A monopoly vs a union, can they both lose?<<
Verizon is large, but hardly a monopoly (yet).
Let’s hope the unions go down in flames on this one (or, for that matter, all of them).
Fire them all. You can find plenty of good people willing to work. Screw ‘em.
Let them enjoy ObammyCare.
I’ll take “let’s sabotage Verizon property some more” for $10, Alex.
Yes, look for an executive order coming forthwith. ;-)
Verizon functions as a monopoly. The manipulate regulations and laws. they have very little competition. They have horrible customer service and just don’t care.
Both need to be broken up.
I like it!
The union is bolstered financially and rhetorically by Hussein and his minions.
The "monopoly" can be attacked at any time by Hussein and his minions.
Where do I stand?
With the underdog (for now.)
The monopoly.
Bravo!

You never heard of AT&T or Sprint? As far as customer service, I have never had any problems.
This is capitalism. Sometimes there are winners. You want to break Google and Microsoft up? Maybe DirectTV is getting too big for their britches...
.
I have a pay as you go plan with them, I spend $100 per year on my cellphone (yes granted not very much but it’s all I need) and if I could find such a plan with anyone else I’d switch in a heartbeat just to punish that union.
Ditto...
Verizon is a monopoly ? Better not tell AT&T, T Mobile, Sprint, Metro PCS, Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, Leap Wireless, Cablevision, Time Warner and Comcast because they would really be pissed.
Bravo Verizon!
I had a surreal moment today. After lunch I drove to the Best Buy store in Leominster which is across the street from a Verizon Wireless store. There were the Verizon landline pickets, all of whom were talking on cell phones. After I parked in the Best Buy parking lot, I walked across the street to ask what carrier those on the picket line used saying I did not want to cross their picket line. (I fibbed. I would have crossed their picket line in a heart beat.) They all had Verizon as their cell phone carrier! In short, they were crossing their own picket line!
havent heard of most of those
> They have horrible customer service and just dont care.
I see you’ve never met Comcast
