Obama is an idiot. He must not know that back then the papers were partisan (officially I mean and there was no hard news/editorial separation) and viscous often false attacks (he’s a drunk, he has negro blood, he’s a whoremonger, he’s a traitor we should string him up) were commonplace in campaigns.
