There is no shortage of weighty issues plaguing the youth of our country. High school graduates and college-bound students have multiple topics to debate as they try to establish a vision for their future. But with the grown-up worlds failure to come up with real solutions to the nations chronic immigration mess, the problem just keeps getting passed on to the next generation

I hadn't heard the other side of this debate. It is interesting how important this will be to our youth and how they will handle it.

I really don’t care about the “other side” of the debate.

They are criminal trespassers. There is nothing to discuss.

I’m getting quite sick & tired of even having the debate frankly. We need a finishing move for this debate.

This is like catching a burglar in your house then helping him decide whether he should take your microwave or the flat screen.

In this case its more like the burglar forcing you to take him shopping and buy him a new flat screen TV....and microwave....and while you’re at it, pay his child support.

Many pro Dream people acknowledge that the childrens’ parents were lawbreakers. Since they recognize that, my question to them is how do we resolve their childrens’ status without encouraging more illegal immigrants coming with their children in tow. We tried amnesty once under Reagan and it backfired because it encouraged more illegals to come and stay hoping for the same amnesty. DREAM Act does the same.

Up front, I wouldn't agree with it, if the following condition didn't exist.
Even U. S. Citizens from outside the state, can't get in-state tuition. That means these children of foreign nationals are getting better treatment than our own citizens.
How the hell do you explain that away? Let them pay full rate. It's high time they begin to contribute something back damnit!
If you're not happy with that, then deport them on the spot. That's what I'd prefer anyway. I didn't put them in this mess, but I can sure agree to put an end to it.
Perry can cloak himself any way he wants, and he's pretty good at it, but in the end, he'll still wind up being seen for the reptile he is.

I agree with everything you said EXCEPT do not allow ilegal children to attend college unless the parents go back.
if they did they the illegal children are free to apply just like any foreign child.
This of course is different if it is an anchor baby. for now they are legal
for now

I understand where you are coming from, and don’t have a big objection. I still say that a careful reading of the 14th Amendment does not grant them citizenship, no matter what court decisions have been made on the matter. I can’t help it if they can’t read and comprehend what the original intent was.

This “I cant help it if they cant read and comprehend what the original intent was.” made me laugh
nicely put
I think they know but admitting it does not fit their agenda.

Which is why I will never vote for Rick Perry.
Anyone signing a bill that gives Illegal Aliens in-state college tuition...like Rick Perry did in Texas...supports Illegal Alien Amnesty.
I would have no problem solving the Immigration “crisis”...the border is secured....the Illegal aliens are Deported. Anything else is Amnesty
We need to elect a real conservative in ‘12 that will get tough on illegals and the border
