Twelve hours removed from a controversy about his suggestion that Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke was engaging in treasonous behavior Texas Gov. Rick Perrys presidential campaign didnt try to walk back the remark. In fact, they doubled down on it.
I am passionate about the issue but I stand by what I said, Perry told reporters in Iowa today.
Although Perrys campaign is only a few days old, the episode provides a telling insight into the Texas governor: he is brash, bold and unapologetic about being so.
And that just might make him a perfect fit for the current Republican primary electorate who is mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.

never apologize.....it's a sign of weakness.

He’s right. Bernanke is sacrificing the well-being of the entire nation to enrich the empty-headed liberal bankers in New York by lowering their costs to zero.
Finally. One of these clowns grows a set.
In Texas, we say what we mean, and mean what we say!
YE HA!
GO PERRY 2012!
And it was working so well... until the liquidity trap he set for himself went “snap” and flattened the curve towards the results seen in Japan....
Bernanke is a grade-A moron. The political class can hyperventilate about the “treason” remark, but Bernanke’s mendacity and stupidity are not open to debate any more. The guy is a public menace.
This made up my mind, I ALL IN for Perry now, gonna donate right now.
The only thing that would make this sweeter, is if he picked Cheney to be his VP!
ROFL!
This is going to be the BEST election EVER!
GO PERRY !
bump.
Just an observation but is it me or is anyone else noticing that the Paulites are flooding FR with negative articles about Perry?
It is not a complaint, because I do want to know what can be verified about Perry and other GOP candidates since it seems that the vetting process misses a lot. I’m sure that the Dims are planning ‘October’ surprises next year on whichever GOP candidate is put up against Obama.
No, I noticed too.
Paulites, Palinistas, Cainiacs, Bachmannites. They’re all piling on.
Maybe you should post a thread calling for a purge of anyone who speaks blaspheme against St Rick.
Not a Paul or Palin supporter, just a regular old conservative who won’t be bullied into silence.
I love it!! Houston we have a candidate. I don’t want any more namby pamby meely mouthed candidates like McCain and Bush.
I want a straight shooter who is direct and to the point. Go Perry. No apologies!!
So, you are allowed to criticize other candidates, but others are not allowed to criticize your candidate.
Got it.
