I actually see Romney fading out and this becomes a Perry vs Bachmann race.

Romney’s support is name recognition from 2008.....nothing more.

Perry and Bachmann provide everything people want without Romney’s baggage.

I feel most people, who are not as engaged as we are, were just waiting for an alternative to Romney.

Perry is not a RINO in the sense of being a closet moderate. He is just an opportunist.

Also... separate but related... today’s Gallup has little barry (not deserving of a capital letter) back at 39% approve, 53% disapprove.

"Can we guess a running mate?"

I'm thinking Paul Ryan. He's led the fight in the budget debate.

Unless conservatives start taking a closer look at Perry. The closer you look, the more he resembles the guy trying to sell you a rusted-out 1997 Plymouth.

Didn't we go through this once before, say in 2000? It's like deja vu all over again.

Rick Santorum, former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania, and ex-Utah Governor Jon Huntsman each get one percent (1%) support, while Michigan Congressman Thaddeus McCotter comes in statistically at zero.

Time for these three to call it a day. They're going nowhere. I like Santorum, but he doesn't have a prayer.

Obama’s mother was a citizen....Neither of Rubio’s parents were citizens when he was born.

Rick Perry will easily meet this onslaught and does well enough in debates to pass whatever test is required of him.

It is a good sign that Romney can’t seen to get over 20%. Romney’s got the rino vote, but that’s pretty much it.

That picture is an obvious attempt to imitate SARAH!’s pictures with hunting rifles, so as to try to make Perry look more manly than SARAH!

Has Perry ever shot a moose from a helicopter with one of those things?

Cain

In the current economic doldrums the strong sword arm of a real businessman will be extremely helpful when slaying the Keynesian socialists. A loud an knowledgeable voice to reinforce the presidents message will carry the day.

The lessons of past elections include that straw polls and early polling results are remarkably meaningless indicators.

But it’s all we’ve got so let’s run with it!

Having observed Perry through several dirty elections (dirty against him), he'll survive.

Sadly, we are seeing on FR what are really suicidal attacks (I call it a circular firing squad) from apparent supporters of Bachmann, a few Palins and of course the ever-present nutty paulnutz, with distortions, innuendo and outright lies against Perry. This circular firing squad is a greater danger to our getting a good sensible conservative candidate than anything the dems can do. The end result could be we again will need to hold our noses and vote for Mutt against nobama.

Perry hasn’t been fully vetted yet. There are still people who believe he is a conservative. But the establishment will try to tell people that he is like they did with Bush.

Kasich would deliver Ohio. Perry can likely get Florida on his own. Get both and your looking pretty good.

A) Open Borders Dream act supporter.

Bothers me.

B) Supported Muslim Mosque and outreach.

Haven't seen that.

C) Supported ALGORE in 1988.

Doesn't bother me. 1988 might as well be the Stone Age.

What bother me are the Gardasil thing and the Trans-Texas corridor thing, in addition to his support for illegals. NO thanks.
