Tea party activist takes on Obama during town hall meeting in Iowa

DECORAH, Iowa — President Obama was confronted by a tea party activist Monday night who wanted to know how Mr. Obama can call for compromise with Republicans while Democrats accuse the tea party of being “terrorists.”

Ryan Rhodes, a leader of the group in Iowa, challenged Mr. Obama during the president’s open-air town hall meeting in Decorah, a town of 8,200 in the northeast corner of Iowa, as the president was taking questions from a mostly friendly audience. The tense moment came soon after Mr. Obama had told the crowd that he views himself as the reasonable one in dealing with congressional Republicans.

Mr. Rhodes shouted out that the president’s calls for more civility in politics were meaningless when “your vice president is calling people like me, a tea party member, a ‘terrorist.’ “

***

Mr. Rhodes and another conservative activist later confronted the president on the rope line as Mr. Obama was leaving the event. Mr. Rhodes told reporters he does believe the president is a socialist.

One of the bitter, clinging, terrorist hobbits dares to address He Who Is Above It All, who responds, "Poor me!"

Just saw the clip on Fox & Friends. Also, saw the clip of Dana Perino saying the Tea Party folks should never had said anything. Oh, those elites!

God bless you, Mr. Rhodes. Thank you for speaking out on behalf of those of us who couldn’t be there.

Decorah, Iowa is known more for its eagles, than for the recent visit of the crow.

By today Mr Rhodes will have undergone a full journalistic colonoscopy as an example to other would-be uppity hobbits.

Brave guy!

I get so sick of "I'm such a pretty little Hitchcock blonde" Dana. So , "who, me, I'm not a snob." So pretty, so sleek, so Anglo-Saxon restrained, so such Old-Money country-club hairdo, so Homecoming Princess from Foxcroft in Middleburg.

Ever since Fox drove Beck out I can barely stand to watch it. I watch Fox Business instead.

Where does she get off telling anyone what to say?

Never question the ruling class! Gretchen was agreeing with her. I was so disgusted with Perino and Gretchen that I turned Fox off. I thought the Tea Party folks were very respectful. They gave Obama time to answer and were posing the questions that the media refuses to ask Obama. What are we supposed to do. Keep quiet and let the ruling class ruin the future for our children and grandchildren.

Dana Pe-RINO, couldn't have a better descriptive name.

Varney and Company is better than any show on Fox News.

Chris Wallace is the worst interviewer on TV.

“I miss President Bush greatly! Palin in 2012!”

I do, too. With all that he did that I DON’T like (holding hands with wicked Bedouins, allowing the Mexican invasion, showing Obama how to throw our money in the air) I find him a likeable guy.

He stepped aside with a visitor to the oval office and prayed with him, as opposed to the other politicians praying ostentatiously for publicity. He’s an admirable politician and a likeable guy. Unfortunately, in that office is the pressure to move America into the New World Order no matter what the President wants.

I agree with the Palin part, too!

The last time I tuned in to FOX-there where about 3 bubble headed bimbos in their war paint and cocktail lounge ensembles and some overly-coiffed, borderline simpleton guy, all talking at once, trading comments, banter and giggling like clowns....it took me several moments to determine what the f%$# they were ‘discussing’ and by that time I was so disgusted and offended that I couldn't care if they were discussing the cure for cancer.

These cheesy Hollywood wannabe’s and pseudo ‘journalists’ are not credible. I tuned OUT!

It is the same almost EVERY time I tune in. I keep away from FOX for this very reason!!

Where does she get off telling anyone what to say?

She's a Bush "Valley of the Dolls" girl. A poster pinup blonde of the republican elitists that infest D.C. and the media.

Obama said, ""In fairness, since I have been called a socialist who wasn't born in this country, who is destroying America and taking away its freedoms because I passed a health care bill, I am all for lowering the rhetoric."

Interesting choice of words. He doesn't deny being born in a different country or being a socialist or destroying America and taking away its freedoms. Slick.

Yes, Dana, we should all grovel and toil in silence, never lifting our eyes to meet our betters.

President Obama referred to the debate and the 8-zip response to a 10-1 cuts-to-taxes debt reduction deal. “None of them would take it,” he crowed. “Think about that. I mean, that’s just not common sense.”

The quote is from another post regarding the expensive bus tour that is not a campaign event. LOL yur killin me.

...and speaking of crows.

I’m afraid Mr President wouldn’t be able to recognize common sense, if he was bitten by it right where he sits.

When she worked for Bush I was actually proud of her serenity and startling prettiness.

Now she's just another ice-princess snob who can't hide her vanity and condescension. A Hollywoodesque bimbo--and I notice she flashes a lot of skin for her Bryn Mawr and Sweetbriar airs.

Cannot. Stand. Her.
