FLDS Plans to Build Giant Monument of Warren Jeffs
By R. Leigh Coleman | Christian Post Reporter A flock of devoted followers within the Fundamentalist Church of Latter Day Saints are shunning the fact their leader was sentenced to life in prison for sexually assaulting underage wives. The sect is reportedly making plans to construct a three-story statue in honor of the now convicted felon, which will tower over their isolated desert compound.
FLDS members say they plan to erect a huge metal monument to reflect the likeness of their imprisoned leader, Warren Jeffs, an anonymous source tells The Daily Beast.
Jeffs, the polygamist leader sentenced to life in prison this week for sexually assaulting underage followers, was found guilty for the rape of two underage children he calls celestial wives.
Investigators now know that Jeffs had 78 known spiritual marriages, with 24 being under the age of 16.
The jury deliberated less than half an hour to render its decision, but hundreds of FLDS cult followers remain under Jeffs' spell.
The (statue) project is secret, or as FLDS terms it, a heavenly hush, which means that anyone who discusses it will be kicked out of the sect, the source told the news.
The inside source also told the news that those members building the statue believe that this is their way of showing the world that they cant take him away from us.

A glimpse into the mindset of the brainwashed:

Really? As the old song goes, What kind of bird don't fly? JAILBIRDS!
(At least the statue can't rape little girls, and neither can Jeffs while he is in jail!)

When are the mothers of these girls going to prosecuted?

Warren Jeffs trial pinglist—if you want on or off, let me know via freepmail!
I have just one question about this statue. Will it depict him raping some poor little girl?
Ok, make that two questions. I also have to ask how many kids will go hungry so they can build this “giant” statue of their child molester in chief.

I guess its not much different from the lds having dozens of status of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young around the country. They didn’t do anything different than Jeffs did.

Maybe it’ll be in the shape of a giant - how can I say this? - male sex organ.

The children will not go hungry. These huge polygamous tribes are on welfare, and Uncle Sap is paying for their evil life-style with taxpayer money. This is another fine place to cut unnecessary spending.
To: kittymyrib
If only that were true. They’ll sell or trade the foodstamps and surplus foods if necessary to help their “Profit.” They’ve done this before.

“...and Uncle Sap is paying for their evil life-style...”
At first I thought you made a typo when you typed Uncle Sap instead of Uncle Sam.
I then looked at my keyboard and realized “No, that definitely wasn’t a typo”.

I bet they will put the statue of Jeffs on top of the temple at El Dorado....after they cover it in gold leaf like the Salt Lake mormons do the fictional angel Moroni on the LDS temples.

The Warren Jeffs tapesWarning, some of these are graphic. I do not know if this is the complete set, but if it is, it's not for the squeamish.

I hope someone comes along, plants some dynamite at the base of this statue and blows it to hell.
To: MizSterious
It isn't just Jeffs, the hierarchy is involved. If they reject Jeffs they condemn themselves with the suckers/faithful. It is really awful for the kids trapped in the cult.

"I guess its not much different from the lds having dozens of status of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young around the country. They didnt do anything different than Jeffs did."Exactly. He may have elaborated on it, but he followed their blueprint.

I'd take it a step or two further. It's every single adult in the community cult. Hold them all responsible.

...and they’ll have the girls take turns polishing it, no doubt.
I shall call it Steely Warren.

Another way of looking at this abomination of Jeffs statue is it will remind everyone outside the compound what sick people live there.

How about a monument AND a poem?
The Passing of the Backhouse
When memory keeps me company and moves to smiles and tears,
A weather-beaten object looms through the mist of years.
Behind the house and barn it stood, a half a mile or more.
And hurrying feet a path had made straight to its swinging door.
Its architecture was a type of simple classic art.
But in the tragedy of life it played a leading part;
And oft the passing traveler drove slow and heaved a sigh
To see the modest hired girl slip out with glances shy.
We had our posy garden that the women loved so well
I loved it too, but better still I loved the stronger smell
That filled the evening breezes so full of homely cheer,
And told the night - o'ertaken tramp that human life was near,
On lazy August afternoons it made a little bower,
Delightful, where my grandsire sat and whiled away an hour.
For there the summer morning its very cares entwined.
And berry bushes reddened in the steaming soil behind.
All day fat spiders spun their web to catch the buzzing flies
That flitted to and from the house, where Ma was making pies.
And once a swarm of hornets bold had built a palace there,
And stung my unsuspecting aunt--I must not tell where;
Then father took a flaming pole--that was a happy day--
He nearly burned the building up, but the hornets left to stay.
When summer bloom began to fade and winter to carouse,
We banked the little building with a heap of hemlock boughs.
But when the crust was on the snow and sullen skies were gray,
In sooth, the building was no place where one could wish to stay.
We did our duties promptly there, one purpose swayed the mind;
We tarried not, nor lingered long, on what we left behind.
The torture of the icy seat would make a Spartan sob,
For needs must scrape the goose-flesh with a lacerating cob,
That from a frost-encrusted nail hung pendant by a string.
My father was a frugal man and wasted not a thing.
When grandpa had to "go out back" and make his morning call,
We'd bundle up the dear old man with muffler and a shawl.
I knew the hole on which he sat--'twas padded all around,
And once I dared to sit there-'twas all too wide I found;
My loins were all too little and I jack-knifed there to stay.
They had to come and get me out or I'd have passed away.
Then father said ambition was a thing boys should shun,
And I must use the children's hole 'till childhood's days were done.
But still I marvel at the craft that cut those holes so true;
The baby hole, and the slender hole that fitted Sister Sue,
That dear old country landmark; I've tramped around a bit,
And in the lap of luxury my lot has been sit;
But e'er I die I'll eat the fruit of trees I robbed of yore,
Then seek the shanty where my name is carved upon the door.
I ween the old familiar smell will soothe my jaded soul;
I'm now a man, but none the less, I'll try the children's hole.
----James Whitcomb Riley
If that's too long for an engraver, this simple poem might also do:
These backhouse poets when they die,
Deserve erected to the sky,
In memory of their clever wit,
A towering monument
Built of sh*t.

Why does the government send welfare checks to these women who swear that are married to Jeffs? Why can’t we use some common sense and take into consideration his wealth and deny government aid to them?
