Reading the Pajama Media middle earth article, I had this thought. Wouldn’t it be interesting if TODD Palin, instead of Sarah, ran for President? That would really put an interesting slant on things.

I think so out of the box, I must have been born on a trampoline :-), so I ran this same concept by my Tea Party friends about a month ago, they thought I was nuts.

Then again, if she does not run I could see Todd running for the Senate in AZ.....

So, there is a chance that Sarah would be Rick’s VP pick?

That would be like the Lone Ranger being Tonto’s sidekick.

Looks like Sarah will not be a candidate by 10-7. Drats! I don’t think she would schedule an event like this if she knew she would be a candidate at the time.

She said she would announce her decision in the August/September time frame (in an answer to Hannity) and (separately I believe) before the end of the summer. I agree, she would not schedule this if she was to be a candidate. Therefore, unless she cancels the commitment, you can conclude she WON'T be a candidate.

Just because a candidate doesn’t “traditionally” do this or that doesn’t mean they couldn’t/shouldn’t/wouldn’t. Why do things always have to be business as usual? That’s what’s wrong with things right now. Everyone running now is doing things the way they’ve always been done. Perhaps it’s time that way go the way of the dinosaurs. Right now the business as usual system is so corrupt it’s hardly worth fixing. Let’s try something new.

You are mistaken. I am genuinely happy for any American who finds a way to eight figure income.

Stating that palin's(™) activities are primarily market-lace driven is not a negative at all; it is a clear assessment of her activity since quitting her elected position (two books, two TV gigs, highly-paid speaking engagements, the trademarking of her name...) ---- all marketing oriented.

Take it up with her if you object to her actions, not with me for pointing them out.

Saint Louis. 97.1 FM is a Republican/ conservative talk station with a non-political drive time show. They play Hannity, Savage, Levin, Beck and Dana Loesch among others.

I am glad to meet someone else who thinks outside the box!!! I am not surprised people could not appreciate the creative idea it is. I can envision quite a revival related to such a move.

What made me think about it was thinking about the character Aragorn. The article described him as “not many could be a man like him.” So I thought what was Aragorn like?

He was an unwilling warrior. Loyal to the cause. Quiet yet strong as steel. Able to read character. A man of mixed pedigree that lent strength to his character. Strategist. Willing to go the extra mile, even unto death.

Todd Palin.

No political experience? Good. The political class has outlived its usefulness. We gave them 100 years or so to get it right, and now it is time for the age of “we the people.”

I think that hobbit reference was a Freudian slip of sorts...a deep down recognition that an age is ending. It is just a matter of time, but the tide will turn— just as surely as seasons change.

Anyway...thinking outside the box has led to some wonderful moments in our history. It’s an exercise worth pursuing.

There was a big to do in 08 when the press tried to push the idea that he was leader of some ‘radical’ type party in Alaska, and of course, they were full of it as usual. If memory serves he’s on the conservative side of libertarian, but don’t quote me on it.

Todd Palin IMO has got to be one of the most stable and even tempered men in existence to put up with the abuse his wife and family have taken. I can’t imagine being in his shoes knowing that if he did what he likely wants to, that it would harm them even more.

I’d be bald from self induced causes...at best.

OK, then you and her other supporter in Texas can vote for her if she decides to run.

What happened to you? You were a staunch Palin supporter, as late as October last year.
