Another flashmobbery took place at a 7-11 in Montgomery County, Maryland. Apparently, the police did not respond until the looters had ransacked and left the store.
From the video: A 7-11 in Montgomery County, Maryland was hit by a flash mob on August 13, 2011. The clerk activated a silent alarm, but police waited until the mob left the store before responding. Further, according to the video, the officer refused to investigate the crime, and only viewed this incident as shoplifting.
WTF? I know it's Montgomery County but c'mon!
Sounds familiar ( UK ) ...
Those in command are just waiting for someone with the wrong melanin percentage to defend themselves...then it will be a racial issue.
What was the officer's race?
Police waited to respond until after the mob left the store? Did I read this correctly? The cops waited until after the criminals finished up a crime in progress????
I can imagine that if you have a mob, that one police car would call for backup to help them, but do cops now just let criminals do whatever they want to do? Or is that the policy because this is a non-violent crime? Or is that the policy because blacks are a protected class under civil rights laws, and cops are afraid to intervene???
This hardly gives you confidence in the Montgomery County police and their job of protecting and serving the public.
Yeah! The Mutha of all shoplifting incidences.
This is exactly why, in Atlanta, a lot of open-past-midnight convenience stores require you to be buzzed in through a locked door.
In Montgomery County, the police refuse have long refused to protect innocent citizens from illegal alien criminals. Now, things have escalated: they apparently will not protect the public against feral Black youth. If you live there, leave. If you cannot, arm yourselves. You are on your own.
I can see this. Flash-mob invasions happen so quickly, a cop could be next door and not make it in time.
“This hardly gives you confidence in the Montgomery County police and their job of protecting and serving the public.”
You didn’t get the memo from the USSC? Protecting and serving the public is not their job.
Well how encouraging can it get.
Thanks Holder and Obama
Your attitude is going to come back and bite you in your azz.
You are trying to start race wars here in America.
You read it correctly, but that's not what the video said. The news story in the video just said police showed up after the vermin were gone, not that they waited for them to leave. A little bit of creative journalism there.
The race of the officer doesn’t really matter. The Police today don’t take on violent mobs, they shoot innocent surprised people and dogs in their homes. It’s a lot safer (for them).
“The cops waited until after the criminals finished up a crime in progress????”
For bad cops, it’s a professional courtesy.
“If you live there, leave. If you cannot, arm yourselves... You are on your own”
I unfortunately do live in Montgomery County. Leaving at this point is not an option. That being said, I have definitely changed my lifestyle. I don’t go to any sort of store at night (unless for an emergency prescription) and yes.. we are armed. Counties in the area are no better: Frederick, Baltimore, Howard etc.. A few more years before my husband can retire and WE ARE GONE. I was born and raised in this county. I cannot tell you how much it has changed.
Chief Moose's old department. And FWIW, Montgomery County aspires to be the Berkeley or Madison of The East.
Are any of you as amazed as I am that someone could convince a crowd of that size to commit an act like this? I don’t know of a single person that I could convince to engage in something like this.
I like the Kansas City mall incident that Drudge has tried to link to, the mayor goes there, shots ring out and he has to hit the ground.
