Just donated to perry and bought bumper sticker & yard sign (I am in)

Posted on 08/14/2011 6:43:59 PM PDT by indianrightwinger

I just committed myself 15 mins ago. My first round donation is done. Was always looking for the winnable conservative candidate with extensive executive experience. Between Romney and Perry, choice is clear. Only other possible entrant is Palin and she interested me as a reform minded GOP Governor who was a VP candidate. While she may enter the race and be more to the right of Perry, I am not looking for the "right most" candidate.

You won’t be alone Tzimsce. It’s the same old thing, vote RINO and we promise blah blah blah. And NOTHING changes. Romney or Perry and it’s Third Party time.

Another vote for Obama. He’s piling them up here on the board the past couple days.

People are really tired of that old tune...we heard it in 2008, 2004, 2000...it's boring. Vote for our guy because the other one is worse? Is that all you've got?

I’ve been watching these Perry threads all afternoon, and the main talking point seems to be... “if you don’t support Perry then Obama will win, and you don’t want that do you?”

Some of his history really gives me pause, he’s just far from my first choice.

South Carolina has an ethical governor and the good Senator Martin that protected your state from the invasion with a stellar set of laws going after businesses that hire illegals. Perry abandoned us here. People are HOPPING MAD!

I’ve heard many a conservative from TX say that. Interesting. Kinda surprised he got the party nomination there.

Romney and Palin are the other viable horses. Like I said, with Perry as a choice, Romney will be nuts to pick. I am not a fan of the “new” Palin. Clear from my myriad anti-Palin comments.

So, yes, I saw the horse to bet on. ,

Get some adult remedial education. The message is that baldfaced LIES about mainstream GOP candidates is NOT acceptable behavior.

Okay.

Well, here is the situation.

If you want to go third party, go third party. I’m not talking anyone out of it or telling you a vote for so and so equals an Obama victory. Do whatever you have got to do.

By the same token someone saying they’ll go third party isn’t going to dissuade me from supporting him.

Bachmann’s had a year to surpass Romney and has failed to do so. Palin’s negatives are too high and anyone that thinks she differs significantly from Perry on amnesty is in for a surprise. Romney had illegal aliens working for him until caught and well...no one else stands a chance to be elected. So Perry is my choice because I like him on other issues, think he can win nd he at least has shown a willingness to back down on an issue if the public outcry demands it.

“Perry would be a DISASTER! Romney would be a DISASTER! “fill in the blank...would be a DISASTER”!

No, let me tell you something, boys and girls, 4 more friggin’ years of OBAMA as a lame duck president having no fear of not being re-elected, would be a friggin’ disaster.

So, although, I’m supporting Perry, I will ultimately support whomever gets to be our candidate. So forget 3rd party, because no matter how you cut it, Obama’s re-election would be a real catastrophe.

No need to thank me, embrace FACTS. The Truth Shall Set You Free. Or at least I believe that to be so.

I think Palin is keeping up her national profile, increasing it even, for a VP nod from Perry.

With a BS in Mathematics from Morehouse, a MS in Computer Science from Purdue and a stint at the Department of the Navy as a ballistics expert.

Yeah, he's just a pizza salesman./s
