Try hiring a roofing or concrete company in Oklahoma. Good luck finding a crew that speaks English.

I've invested the last 30 years of my life in the construction trades, and it kills me to see what our federal government has allowed to happen to this once great industry.

Seen any young Americans apprenticing in the trades lately? When's the last time you heard rock and roll blasting on a construction site?

I can't go on......I get too upset talking about this.

It really pisses me off, too. I’m a Christian, so I try to follow the law. What I’m saying is, it goes beyond simply wanting to be a good citizen. I literally don’t want to disappoint the Lord by being a lawbreaker. With that in mind, don’t ask me how I could ever open up a roofing, concrete, or other construction company, because I simply wouldn’t be able to survive. My competitors would undercut me with illegal labor.

Government should be protecting good, law abiding citizens, not making it easier for lawbreakers. Yet, that’s exactly what they’re doing on so many issues, immigration included. It seems like good people don’t get a fair shake in this country any more.
