I do agree with you to a large extent. There is still a racial component to SOME of this. I do think we should be careful what we attribute it to when we do claim a racial aspect though.
That riot at the state fair the other day seems to be a good example of lingering racism.
Oh, I agree that there is racism involved there. But the question here is; is the violence attributable to African culture.
My point is that I would place the blame on the Socialist Nihilist Atheistic culture of the Left that has permeated the West to the point that there is no self control or self reliance in our youth any longer.
This lack of a belief in right and wrong leaves our youth with the lack of any self restraint and the internalized belief that they may act on their most base feelings acting out their most violent impulses.
This permits the black youths to act violently to the feelings they have had ingrained in them that they have been wronged all their lives by “the Man”.
When you get a group of young people the specific size of which is somewhat hard to pin down, (500? 350?) that has been described as 500, I think it’s safe to say this definitely does pertain to the people or decedents of people who came here from Africa.
Has the heavily influential Leftist culture present in the U.S. today enabled this? Unquestionably yes IMO.
Was this racism? Yes.
Do whites today exhibit this level of racism against blacks? No.
Do blacks in general exhibit this level of racism against whites? No.
Does a certain segment of blacks in general harbor excessive hatred for whites today? Do they hold them responsible for past inequities? Do they harbor an elevated level of anger based on the idea that whites today have benefited from past inequities and deserve whatever they get now as recompense?
To varying degrees, I think it’s obvious the answer is yes. Has that been stoked for purposes of unrest, and to gain market share support by the folks doing the stoking? Once again, I believe the obvious answer is yes.
Will the folks who do this ever be called on it, and punished for having done it, even though it will result in mass casualties from mere beatings to lifetime disabilities and even mass deaths? No.
Is this all a pox on the validity of the Leftist movement in the United States and elsewhere? Yes.
If by validity you mean that rational people would think that 50 years after the civil rights were codified in US law and 50 years after the federal troops forcibly integrated public school and 40 years after federal courts mandated the busing of children to further integrate public schools that and after 30 years of racial quotas being imposed upon industries by the federal government that the huge chip that so many people of a certain racial minority would have been carrying on their shoulder would have evaporated you might be right.
But then you have to consider that the Democrat party stoked this racial animus to their great advantage for more than 50 years. The formula has delivered more than 90 percent of the Black vote election after election.
High profile race baiters make very comfortable livings out of keeping the masses of the Black community angry and poor.
Regardless of how many young Black men die or are imprisoned as a result of this long burning racial hatred the Democrats and the race baiters will continue to stoke the flames because it is to their personal benefit.
The real question is how do we conservatives break through the clouds ingrained hatred to demonstrate to the Black community that the Democrats and Race Baiters are not serving their interest but their own. I don’t have an answer.

That is THE tough question isn’t.
Here’s another question. Should we be condescending enough to think it’s our responsibility to inform blacks of what their new slave-masters have done to them?
At some point, blacks must wake up to the reality of this on their own.
When only 10% of black children are born in homes with a married mom and dad, perhaps they’ll begin to open their eyes. When they realize how many millions Jessie Jackson and his family have rat-holed away, while a vast populace of blacks still live in poverty, perhaps they’ll open their eyes.
When they realize they’ve been lied to for decades, and that hard work and taking responsibility is not a sell out to the white man, but claiming their birthright for themselves, perhaps they’ll begin to open their eyes.
Nothing will happen, until blacks begin to open their eyes, look around them, and recognize for themselves what has been done to them. And this time, I’m not referencing what Conservative whites have done. I’m addressing what Leftist whites, opportunistic blacks, politicians, members of the MSM and entertainers have done to them.
At some point, blacks must wake up to the reality of this on their own.
I agree it is not our responsibility to enlighten Blacks to their slavery to the Democrat machine but it is in our interest and the interest of the nation to do so.
Allowing the Democrats an uncontested monopoly of the Black vote is just a bad move on our part.
With out breaking the Black community free of their enslavement to the Democrats I think it will be impossible to reverse the course of this country away from an ever growing welfare state.
You know, this is part of the reason I wish Herman Cain would catch on. I would like to see a successful black business man become president, and be able to influence young blacks in a positive way.
I should add, I know where you’re coming from, and I’m not against the ideas you have touched on. Those are valid reasoned thoughts and I appreciate you mentioning them.
I am a fan of Herman Cain as well. I have not quite decided on him but I think he is in the top thee.
