Of the names you mentioned, only Brownback might qualify as conservative enough. Voinivich is a nut. Brownback would have no draw politically outside of KS. He tried to run for Prez and got absolutely nowhere. He is boring, boring, boring.

Kasich is a good name, but he’s pretty busy right now.

I think now is the ripe time to get an all conservative ticket, not necessarily geographic balance. I might look to FL or South Carolina or some such eastern place, but I don’t think a Northeasterner exists who is right for this, but if one does, somebody clue me in.

Kasich would be my Midwesterner pick, but like I said...

Ok, for starters, he was lousy on border issues and illegal immigration, and he sponsored the Medicare Drug program that we couldn’t afford, another big entitlement program. His attitude towards illegal immigration in particular, really frosted me.

Split hairs if you wish, but that equals attacking him for being too public with his Christian beliefs, since, after all, a politician should not do that, according to you, since it’s just political, rather than actually a religious act.

Go pick up a copy of "We Were Soldiers Once ... and Young: Ia Drang - The Battle that Changed the War in Vietnam" and turn to pages 104 through 108.

There, you will find the description of my uncle, the severely wounded Lieutenant, right after he, his Captain and a handful of men from Delta Company had plugged the gap in the American line and stopped the North Vietnamese flanking attack from cutting the American position in two:

When he came back home, after months in the hospital, he had a huge scar down the inside of his thigh where AK-47 rounds had hit him. I’m a Palin supporter and I’m looking for an alternative if she doesn’t run. Perry appears viable to me.

You can bet your ass that Perry will bring Palin into the fold if she doesn’t run...that is what he can do, bring in TeaParty, conservatives, some of the Establishment which will include social, economic and “peace through strength” conservatives into the election.

Stereotyping Palin supporters is the Leftist way....we are not all the same...in or out (I believe she is out) she will be valuable in activating conservatives and TeaPartiers into the fold to defeat Obama.
