For all those that missed it. It comes up quick. We didn’t know what to expect. He just answered it like he was home cooking up chicken on the grill.
AMEN! Cain did very well. But, why are you surprised at Paul winning the polls. You know the Ronulans are always out in full force in these polls...they skew the numbers. What was evident to me, however, is that Dr. Demento was back. Anyone who would give due process to terrorists is not fit to serve as our leader. Period.
It’s repeating now on FOX.
Newt did the best, but he’s not going to our nominee.
Sarah likely won by NOT participating....lol.
It’s entertaining, but I have to be honest, I was busy with the freepathon thread and cooking during some of it so the debate didn’t have my full attention.
Here it is!......Newt’s’ slam on Wallace.....Outstanding! I am happier than a toad in Gods pocket to have heard that!
Cheers!
Newt agreed with Paul on the big economy question, auditing the Fed, with Newt agreeing. A big deal...With Paul responding, "I'm glad every else is catching up", with a smile.
Classic IMO.
Watching Newt respond to Paul, and then Paul, their demeanor, tone, body language, did seem of respect each other. Something rare in today's America, especially D.C.
Easy to see what happens to a state where the dems have control of the political process. WV politics is just like Chicago. We keep trying to take down the good ole boy network, but it’s so entrenched it seems hopeless.
He might be. As he debates the nominees he really will find the way to be on point and back it up.
“Ron Paul: Who let this guy out of the insane asylum? How did this guy get elected to the House? Great comic relief.”
So, in your opinion, is the Tea Party also comic relief?
No, only RP. Why do so many of your drink his kool-aid is beyond me. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile...our nut just happened to be on stage!
Sad to say it, but I think you are right. I don’t think she is going to run and I think she had the best chancre to win
and beat the Kenyan.

Absolutely needed to be said. Right on. :-)
All the “It’s too late forSarah,” people crack me up. Why is it too late for Sarah? No one said that about Perry. No one is saying Perry would be called a coward for not being in these first two sideshows they passed off as *debates*. What you have seen thus far is the battle for first among losers. And that is ALL you have seen.
The heavyweights are not among them, and the nominee is not among them.
Tonight I saw Michelle Bachmann, who I have stood back from criticizing to give her a fair shot, try to outman the men. She was too *manly* by half. Whereas Sarah Palin has never felt the need to outman the men. That is self-diminishing. And she, (MB,) struck me as someone who makes decisions in the heat of the moment. No self control. THAT bothers me.
She compared pawlenty to obama? Sure, But obama had to quit the church he belonged to for 20 years to save his POLITICAL ass, and guess what. Michelle Bachmann just did the same damn thing, only she belonged to HER church for ten years longer.
Everyone gasped and went nuts because Byron York directly quoted MB about wives bring submissive to their husbands. Well she said it. And she did what her husband wanted her to even though she didn’t want to. And as recently as several months ago, she gave an interview to an Evangelical group where she said Sarah Palin should have stayed at home with her husband and childen until all of her children had grown up and left home BEFORE she started a career. If SHE had taken her own advice, she would just now be starting her OWN career.
Add to that she has lied in my face about her finances. She comes on strong about state’s rights until it’s something she doesn’t agree with. This is a pol. AND she is a fanatic. Maybe that is the word I have been searching for all along.
She is a backstabber and a liar and I don’t trust her as far as I can throw her, and after tonight, even less.
That was great, once upon a time I had respect for Newt, his recent record has lost me as a supporter, but he reminded me with this exchange why I once liked him.
We will just agree to disagree. I would be willing to place a wager with you in that regard.
Yea...I got it from real Politics....it was a great slam! Now if the rest of the boring crowd would be that fast on their feet and nail a few themselves.....warming the plate then for Palin if she runs.
Dang it’s getting hard to understand her waiting much longer....moreso because it appears the horses have left the gate Onyx. However Perry’s going to just announce Saturday so that’s kept me from stressing about it...if he gets a pass for stepping in late then so does Palin.
I didn’t watch the previous debates, but I caught most of this one.
-I learned that Pawlenty is a first class jerk.
-Newt has had enough of the Lame Stream Media.
-Romney looks real good in a suit and has nice hair.
-Ron Paul knows a lot of sh*t but seems bats*it crazy sometimes.
-I still like Herman Cain. I’d make him Secretary of something in the new administration.
-I still like Bachmann and I consider myself a member of The TEA Party. I love that she did the lightbulb freedom bill. I absolutely hate that the gov’t thinks it can regulate which light bulb I buy. I hate all the other stuff they do too. They’ll take my guns, incandescent bulbs and my old fashioned water hogging toilet and my V-8 truck from my cold dead hands.....
OK, now I’m ranting.
Up way too late again....
Good night, FReepers!
