What's behind Sarah Palin's surprise trip to the Iowa State Fair?
Christian Science Monitor ^ | August 11, 2011 | Peter Grier

Sarah Palin and her One Nation bus tour are making a surprise trip to Iowa, if you haven’t heard. In an email sent yesterday to supporters of her political action committee she said she’s going to “meet folks at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines this week.”

(snip)

Sarah Palin has proved that she is the quasi-political attention-getting master of the US media universe.

That’s because there just happens to be a debate in Ames, Iowa tonight among declared GOP presidential contenders. A straw poll follows this weekend. So hundreds of political reporters are already in Iowa – pre-positioned for a Palin drive-by. Pure genius.

(snip)

Plus, SarahPAC has posted a new one-minute Palin video that makes pretty much every other Republican contender’s commercials look underproduced.

(snip)

The sound track is Palin’s speech at the 2008 GOP convention. The overall impression it leaves is that Michele Bachmann is a good speaker, Michele Bachmann is a former tax attorney, Michele Bachmann is a tea party favorite, but Sarah Palin is still way better at lighting people on fire with words.

Does all this mean Palin is going to run for president? She’s still not saying. But it sure looks like she’s running for something, even if it’s only Queen of the Midway.

So what you’re saying is facts absolutely don’t matter to you and you will still carry the democrats bucket of propagand for them. OK, gotcha.

What lobby would that be switching from Romnney to Perry. Strange I haven’t seen anything but Perry attacks, just like yours as you pick up propaganda.

Don't get out much, do you? All you have to do is google the big money donors (Chamber of Commerce, cheap labor lobby) switching from Romney to Perry. Its not that they dislike Mitt, it is just that they don't see him getting much traction.

And if Perry and Perry's backers can't stand a little heat, they'd best get out of the kitchen before they melt.

Sarah has already taken plenty of heat and she's still moving forward. Ditto for Michelle Bachmann. Even RINO Romney has shown he can stand up to the heat. All of the above have taken a lot more heat than anything I've said about Perry. If he has a glass jaw, he'd better not get into the ring with ObaMao.

In case you never noticed, I was one freeper who ran blocks for Sarah Palin myself when she was being treated the same way Perry is by freepers themselves.

Chamber of Commerce is a cheap labor lobbyist? ALL the democrats say that, so I guess you would too.

So, I fail in logic because I’m saying that Sarah might not become a candidate.

What kind of logic school did you go to?

Ok...

Let me be logical...

Sarah is still weighing her chances and determining whether she should jump into the race, but, she’ll first need to consult with her family about whether they’re willing to go through the gruesome next 18 months or so.

Is that better?

Let me continue being logical...

She has very good chances to win the nomination and the presidency.

BTW, I do believe that she would be the best candidate for the presidency on the republican side.

Now, let me go back to being illogical...

Until she gives any signs that she is even thinking of running, I’ll continue believing that she’s not running.

Now, back to being logical...

I have been one of the most ardent defenders of Palin and everything she represents for our side, both here an in other forums. I don’t believe that anybody can beat her.

Now, back to bad logic...

As of now, she’s not running, and there are other candidates who could beat her out for the nomination.

Now, back to your preferred logic...

As far as I’m concerned, there is no other candidate who could do better against Obama than Palin.

***********************************************************

BTW, I wholeheartedly believe that last sentence. She would utterly destroy Obama and the democrats.

Look, the way I see it, it’s not a matter of logic or no logic. It’s a matter of noticing that she hasn’t even approached the subject in any serious way since the other republicans started their campaigns. Of course, it’s still early, but, sometimes, entering later doesn’t overcome the “lead” and following that others might have developed.

Anyhow, if she does enter the race, I’ll be behind her 100%. Is that better now? Am I logical now?

“If she were going to be running, the time do jump in was many weeks past.”

According to who? Your opinion?

I don’t think that there is a drop dead date to announce one’s intent to run until the first filing date deadline to be included on a state’s primary ballot.......that date hasn’t arrived yet.

“Yep, John McCain for one.”

Like it or not....Palin or not.....McCain did not have a viable primary challenger. Get real dude......your PDS is showing, (I’m sure the bile in your throat doesn’t taste all that good.)

These RINO ticks are dug in deep and will need to be well dug out. Viable Conservative candidates will step forward, it just doesn’t happen overnight. Backing a marginal “conservative” may cause more long term harm than the origional RINO tick.

That said Juan McCain is in his final 5 years of messing up the country........ Time to start looking for a replacement. There is a potential senator out there that will do the country and the electorate proud......find him(her) and quit whinning about things you cannot change today.

What a silly, petulant, juvenile post. If you really are a supporter of Palin, you must realize that posts, and attitudes, such as yours only degrade the chances that other might support her. If you want to deal in adult politics, grow up or shut up.

“....a supporter of Palin, you must realize that posts, and attitudes, such as yours only degrade the chances that other might support her”

My original post addressed a poster that blamed Sarah Palin for the failure of Arizona Republicans to enter and support a a viable primary candidate opposing John McCain. The primary election wasn’t even close, with JM receiving over 80% of all Republican primary votes......Sarah’s fault that McCain won?????? I don’t think her influence was that great, you apparently do......... PDS’ers blaming Palin for anything that can be viewed or spun as a negitive reminds me of Obama’s “It’s Bush’s fault”.......try putting the blame where it reasonably belongs.... on Arizona Republicans, both the candidates and the voters.

“What a silly, petulant, juvenile post.”

The very definition of projection.

You may spend your time better by finding someone to oppose your current Senator Al Frankin.....or is he “Palin’s fault” also thereby leaving you and your fellow Minn. voters blameless?????

“If you want to deal in adult politics, grow up or shut up.”

Good advice.....advice you should take.
