Any FReeper changing their personal/home DEFCON level due to UK (and US) riot/pre-riot situations?

BTW, the 20mm 6 barrel electric 6000 rounds per minute mini-gun and the small, hand-held fisionable weapons won't fit under my sports jacket or in her purse, so have ruled them out.

This has been a concern of mine for about 18 months. I don’t telegraph my plans.

Seems a little paranoid...
Things are bad but I don’t see rioting in the streets and marauder groups attacking homes.
I made it through the Rodney King riots which were much less than they appeared.
If it helps you to sleep with a loaded Glock, more power to ya.
But you give power to those who force you to change your lifestyle and thinking and remove you from the comfort you probably have.

Nope. Already prepped. My goofy Sheltie is terrible guard dog, though.

Yes and no. Most of the prep was accomplished already. Just upping the LP/OP vigilance.

I don’t mean to offend, but that sounds nuts. Although if you do work on the hand-held nuke, I’d suggest keeping it to yourself ;-)

“small, hand-held fisionable weapons “
That's speaking my language. I have a rabbit problem; those would work.

Any fire extinguishers handy? A home in a common residential neighborhood is not the most easily defensible position btw.

Your Sheltie must be related to my Lab/Shepard mix.
Damn “watch dog” loves anyone on two legs. As a watch dog, she would WATCH while they carried everything out of the house.

Well he is doing something about it though.
If it becomes a new habit it won’t be as dangerous, it will be more natural. If things do get tougher there will be less risk of accidental problems.
Lots of people sleep with loaded handguns in arms reach. Long guns under the bed.

I agree that there is a 1 in a 1000 or 1 in 10,000 chance we could be hit, but if Mrs. Freedumb or the little Freedumbettes were injured/killed, would you forgive yourself?

Do you live in downtown Philly or Detroit? Otherwise I wouldn’t be in panic mode. There will be plenty of warning of an insurrection if you live out in a civilized area.

Great question.
Have 3 dry chemical, and when we built house, installed hise bibs in each bathroom, kitchen and garage. Have 100 feet of good 7/8 hose on each and 70 PSI at taps. There is nothing like mega-gallons of water in a fire,

My Dobe considers everything within his range of vision to be “mine” and reacts appropriately so in effect, he guards the neighbors down at the end of the lane, too.
I should charge them a monthly surveillance fee.

AMERICAN Police officers are more than capable of handling punks on a riot binge.
It's the Mayors/Gov who cannot be trusted with our safety.
