I just noticed on Twitter and Facebook that the Left is calling for a US Day of Rage on September 17th.
The Twitter #s are: #USDOR, #occupywallstreet, #revolution
Facebook: Occupy Wall St. or US Day of Rage
They invite people to occupy Wall Street and DC and State Capitals.
Publius is Very Unhappy! Bring your tents! Wall Street belongs to us! Demand the the top 2% pay their fair share!
Lots of tweets but the Facebook pages are low volume.
In addition, there is a group of Muslim activists that are pushing this and in England for the rioters to overthrow the government.
My question to them would be: then what?
Me too. Always.
Personally, I do everything in my power to avoid these situations. But if I have a legal right to be where I am, I will defend myself and mine to the uttermost when necessary. And that is the mindset of most of those who live where I do.
The police? The police say, you have a right to defend yourself, call us and defend yourself until we get there.
I remember that.
And when that rage breaks out into all out mob violence what will the cops do? Nothing. Just like they can’t seem round up any illegals in the middle of a protest parade. Criminals? What criminals? Don’t bother me, I’m sipping my mocha latte. Besides, that’s racist and not PC!!!
Look at England, they don't have guns either. You should be very concerned.
The word that revolts me the most is Obama.
If they try to make us victims... they will have to work for it.

The construction guys were joined by some letter carriers and even some office workers and they soundly beat the anti-American rioters who wouldn’t disburse. A few construction guys got arrested but when Pete Brennan told the city he was going to shut down every construction job in the city and the Longshoremen were going to shut down the docs if the construction workers weren’t released, the city turned them lose within an hour of his call.
A few days later the unions held a pro-Amarica parade and were showered with ticker tape from the offices.
That should be required reading for all FReepers.

Hilarity. A “day of rage” anywhere west of the Tidewater, perhaps excepting the Detroit area, is going to be met with a “day of STFU” by both the authorities and the citizenry.
A combination of State governments that are now cherry red, and a lot more gun freedom means that there are going to be a lot of grinning policemen, with flexible ROE, and popular support. And sore elbows.
You have been paying attention and know that in most big cities the right to bear arms is basically non-existent, right? Especially in NY... You’re right that according to the way things SHOULD be they don’t have to stand and watch - however, they will risk being the ones in jail for the rest of their lives if they do anything to stop it... These Communists know fully well that in the big cities they will NOT be confronted by armed resistance to their riots and such - at least not by their fellow citizens. The only ones who will be able to do anything are the police, and that plays right into their whole agenda...

I think the last time I set foot in NYC was in 1984, when my buddy was at Grad school at Fordham.

I am, it’s been acting weird for me all morning... I have some friends across the pond who are reporting that their media says FB was down completely for FOUR HOURS over there last night.
Don’t know if it was the gov’t response to riots, or whether they are just having major problems with the FB servers. Regardless, the problems are originating from FB itself, and it’s not you! LOL
