Police departments in several cities around the country are investigating what appear to be incidents of "flash mob"-generated violence, in which packs of dozens or even hundreds of youths appear seemingly out of nowhere to commit assaults, robberies and other crimes against innocent bystanders.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the attacks that have resulted in numerous arrests around the country are being investigated -- and law enforcement officials in at least one city are looking into a possible racial component to the crimes.
Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, who recently imposed a stricter curfew in response to the city's latest attack, addressed black youths directly from the pulpit of his church on Sunday, reportedly saying, “You have damaged your own race.”
"If you want …anybody else to respect you and not be afraid when they see you walking down the street, then leave the innocent people who are walking down the street minding their own damn business. Leave them alone," Nutter told a mostly black congregation at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in West Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

With respect, Biggirl, I have worked in this demographics neighborhoods for most of my adult life, have studied them, spoken with them and gotten into their lives and heads. I know them, what they are capable of and what they are willing to do.
They WILL retaliate against any violence against them so a CCW holder needs to be absolutely aware of this. You will be treated no different from any rival gang member and your family will not be spared if they are with you.
It will not end the mob violence, it will only cause them to carry more firearms themselves. They do not fear or respect anyone with a gun because other thugs and police have been pointing guns and/or shooting at them all their lives. If you look like you are not prepared to defend yourself with deadly force against any and all comers, they will take your gun from you and kill you with it. If you draw on someone and don’t fire, you must have a plan to egress quickly, because they will start moving behind you, waiting for the opportunity or split second distraction to charge you, haymaker you and get you prone. Once that happens, and you don’t retain your bearings or your firearm, your life expectancy greatly diminishes.
This is not to scare people but to inform them on what they will be facing.
Flash mobbers, of course, are regular members of Nutter’s congregation, and carefully listen to what’s said on the pulpit there.
It is hypocritical that “O” likes the high life lifestyle that a sh!tlo@d of money affords him.

I can only imagine "they" thought that a show of intimidating force would cow the public into voting for them.
Guess they thought wrong ~ the Republicans just won another election yesterday 53% to 47%! That's a LANDSLIDE.
Eventually we may need to shoot the Leftwingtards down in the streets because they are totally ineducable and are going to ratchet things up the next time they act out.

And they say I live in a dangerous neighborhood. What is going on over there? Two years ago, when I left, this was unheard of. There was no such word as “flash mob”. Blacks were ecstatically happy that they had a black POTUS elected overwhelmingly.

I am wondering if you are sailing under false colors.
What you say is true to a tiny extent but for the most part you are far far better off using a gun to defend yourself.

The riders I am talking about are different. They used Greenline as a sortcut to L'Enfant from other agencies.
There are many federal cops carrying guns who end up walking through L'Enfant between different lines because it's a much less congested main connector than Metro Center. I can spot them if others can't.
So far the violence prone flash mobs have been middle-class types ~ not hardened street gang people. Could be why they launched a series of attacks at L’Enfant. The gang members would likely be encountering their parole officers or the DEA types who arrested them last ~ and would avoid that place.

I have always understood that, my husband is a lifetime NRA member.
Perhaps you misunderstand. I am most definitely advocating defense of self and family with firearms. I am trying to express to others that your most likely assailants are not going to be cowed by it and WILL retaliate in kind.

Didn’t he already announce that the DOJ wouldn’t investigate crimes perpetrated by blacks? Or maybe these aren’t crimes?
Holder and obozo can always claim they’re not part of that criminal class because they really AREN’T BLACK....they’ve been white all along - they just happened to notice it.
I hate that there is now a double meaning for the words “flash mob”.
One describes totally peaceful organized groups of people, who spontaneously and unexpectedly break out in song or dance to both entertain and make people smile. Often sending a message about God or love of Country.
The other use of “flash mob” describes hateful and violent mobs creating mayhem, destruction and injury among others.
