Police departments in several cities around the country are investigating what appear to be incidents of "flash mob"-generated violence, in which packs of dozens or even hundreds of youths appear seemingly out of nowhere to commit assaults, robberies and other crimes against innocent bystanders.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the attacks that have resulted in numerous arrests around the country are being investigated -- and law enforcement officials in at least one city are looking into a possible racial component to the crimes.
Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, who recently imposed a stricter curfew in response to the city's latest attack, addressed black youths directly from the pulpit of his church on Sunday, reportedly saying, “You have damaged your own race.”
"If you want …anybody else to respect you and not be afraid when they see you walking down the street, then leave the innocent people who are walking down the street minding their own damn business. Leave them alone," Nutter told a mostly black congregation at Mount Carmel Baptist Church in West Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

No, it won't stop many of them. The modus will change to include guns. Most all of these thugs have firearms available to them -- they just haven't been bringing them to the party (apparently). If CCW weapons come out theirs will as well. These incidents will change from muggings to shoot-outs. I am pro-CCW and possess one but would just prefer to stay away from these areas (including state fairs, etc., in locations with certain demographics).
The people asking the question are the sort who believe the Moon is more important than the Sun because the Moon shines at night when you really need light and the Sun only shines in the daytime when there is plenty of light already. If you asked them what that white stuff is at the beach they would need to call in a consultant from Chicago.
I dont think so, Annie, only a mass attack with multiple gun owners will stop this by taking out large numbers of rioters who are caught with witnesses to exonerate the gun owners who will get sued anyways

Arrest those who do and allow people to defend themselves with deadly force if the police refuse to protect the citizens.
When enough flash mobs find themselves getting gunned down, they’ll stop, through attrition if anything.

Since the government can see anything twitter has on its server, the already know the answer. If the government wants to follow the Constitution, they should get a warrant to see the twitters of the people they arrested.
The best solution is to live where there aren’t enough potential flash mob participants for them to have any.

I am pretty certain it is a given, because with this economy getting weaker, and as a general rule, it is the wallet or the pocket that elects or defeats Presidents.
Have not so far, in regards to the states in the south or in states such as TX, you do not see any of this nonsense going on. Could it be becasue of CCW laws I wonder?
