Paul lashes out at fellow Texan Perry
Foxnews ^ | August, 10 2011

At a townhall style meeting in Mason City Iowa, Fox News Chief Political Correspondent Carl Cameron asked Texas Rep. Ron Paul about fellow Lonestar Republican Rick Perry's potential entrance into the race for the GOP presidential nomination.

The three-time presidential candidate blasted the Texas governor as few Republicans ever have.

"He will just further dilute the establishment vote," Paul said. "You know he's part of the status quo. I don't know of a view that he has that is different than the previous administrations and his record as governor does not show him as a standout as actually being a conservative. He actually was the chairman for Al Gore at one time not too many years ago."

Perry has yet to declare his candidacy but is reportedly leaning toward entering the race. He gives a speech to conservative bloggers in the first-in-the-south primary state of South Carolina on Saturday before heading to Iowa on Sunday. Perry also has a trip to New Hampshire planned next week.

So you cannot find a single bill that made enough sense to pass, that is what I thought.

He never voted for any ban on abortion until the partial birth ban. Still voted against a ban on transporting minors across state lines for abortion, No on making it a federal crime to harm an unborn child (prenatal protection act, Unborn Americans Protection Act or Lacy and Conner’s law). He ranks 56% on National Right to Life’s scale.

Perry is 100% prolife by Texas Alliance for Life and Texas Right to Life. (and me)

"You kind of lost all credibility by quoting (and supporting) Ron Paul..."

Me too! I'd vote Paul over just about anyone but Sara. Never supported Paul before but I am tired of the steady diet of establishment candidates.

I’ll take a Paul’s voting/policy position record over Perry any day.

A taste of LRon's voting/policy record ......

In the space of 24 hours, Rep. Ron Paul (R., Texas) has voted for tax hikes, against censure for Charlie Rangel, and defended Julian Assange.

Ron Paul votes to homosexualize the US Military

Ron Paul hearts Debra Medina

Ron Paul: Ground Zero Mosque Opponents are “Islamophobes.”

Ron Paul wouldn't have approved Osama bin Laden operation

people like me, Paul is my congressman :) I’ve voted for him many times I am proud to say. He is a little crazy, lol, but he is reliable on spending and defending the Constitution. Works for me.

I urge all Tea Party members to soundly reject Rick Perry and to support one of the true Tea Party candidates: Ron Paul, Michele Bachmann or Sarah Palin if she runs.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You think Ron Paul is a Tea Partier?
Are you smoking some of that crack Paul wants to legalize?
IBTZ.
Paul is from a town just SE of Houston.
Not too far from Sheila Jackson Lee’s district.
But there are good folks here, too, not just loons.
Prawn Pol(itician) is just mad that he is being left behind again by yet another candidate. Must be hard to keep up with the others running when you’ re hindered by those padded restraints. Not to mention the illusion of being Simon-pure.
Interesting question. Answer it honestly:
Would you like Perry as much if he and Ron Paul switched bodies?
Would Ron Paul be taken more seriously if he looked like Rick Perry ?
What a contrast Paul versus Palin when speaking about Perry. Who’ll carry more weight with the voters?
**Rick Perry is true to conservative principles even when others think the party needs to go a different direction.
**He does what is right regardless of whether it is popular.
**He walks the walk of a true conservative.
**Not every child is born into ideal circumstances, but every life is sacred. Rick Perry knows this – it is at the core of his being.
**Will you join me in supporting a true conservative for governor – Rick Perry?
**Rick Perry is proven and principled.
I think LRon and the paulbots are stilled pissed that Gov. Perry has dismissed the legitimacy of LRon many times before (since his 'kook' status outweighs any Texan status).
Ron Paul..........LMFAO !!!!!!!
Ron Paul, the "9/11 was an inside job" guy ????
Pleeeeeze, I'll support Palin, but you know as well as I do, if she doesn't run, she sure as hell won't endorse Ron Paul, and she already has endorsed Perry once....
