I hate to break this to you, Robin, but I can assure you that your friend Gail is going to go out there in November 2012 and cast a vote for Barack Hussein Obama again.
I know those affluent New Jersey suburbs well, and one of the remarkable aspects of them is that the affluence of their residents really masks their mediocrity when it comes to intelligence, wisdom and normal thought patterns. You'd be hard-pressed to find as many stupid people with a lot of money anywhere else in this country.
I suspect a lot of this relates to the fact that suburbia has a way of cultivating stunted people who have neither the down-to-earth practical knowledge that comes with rural living nor the scrappy toughness and "people skills" that urban living tends to require.
This is called learning the Hard way. But I will tell you this it wont help People Like gail,they will go march and light some candles and Sing Cumbaya.
