Unfortunately true. In 2004 I put a Bush/Cheney sticker in my window and got my car doors’ paint “keyed” a day later. I’d parked in the same structure for years and never had a problem. Even after insurance paid, the vandalism cost me over $1000.

I have FUBO and NOBAMA 2012 stickers on all of our vehicles. Never had a problem, and the FUBOs have been on for around 2 years.
You live in a rural area? I wouldn’t park in a major city anywhere in the USA with an anti-socialist/progressive/democrat/Union sticker, and expect my vehicle to be safe at all.
Yes, I live in a rural area where those stickers are very popular (I give them away to friends), but our vehicles go to places that are not rural and definitely not conservative. At least 4 cities that revolve around a university.
