It takes tens of thousands of bureaucrats to cut hundreds of thousands of EDD checks. Contractors are required to service the copy machines. IT people to maintain the computers.

How about the USPS mail carriers who deliver the checks to the eagerly awaiting hands of the unemployed.

Then there's plenty of work to be done administering pension programs when those bureacrats retire.

“I would like to know how unemployment benefits stimulate the economy?”

###

Why, giving money to parasites so they can buy iPhones, booze and plasma TVs, of course.

All the while of course, ignoring the basic rule of Hazlitt’s “Economics in One Lesson”:

You must look at ALL the factors in any economic transaction. In this case, on the other side of the equation, which the propagandizing QueerMedia refuses to cover, the RaceMarxist is stealing from other Americans to finance the habitually unemployed.

The unemployed spending those checks, could be seen as stimulating the economy. That being said, if it was a good idea, unemployment would never be limited.

Federal stimulus does not work. I suppose it could if you had unlimited funds, but it doesn’t work that way. Sooner or later you have to return to the free market system or you go belly up.

Unemployment benefits were intended as a stop-gap that people actually paid for themselves. It was not intended to be long term welfare or a form of the dole.

If people get a free pay-check, what’s the incentive for them to get back into the system? Welfare for nothing, or a higher wage for real work? Welfare of course...

Unemployment should not be extended.

You know all this, but it needs to be said so others can read it.

"I would like to know how unemployment benefits stimulate the economy?"

It buys Votes for Democrats thus letting them keep their jobs.

Its that "Jobs created or saved" thing Obama talks about all the time...

From the "Nancy told me so" file:

"Unemployment insurance, the economists tell us, return $2 for every $1 that is put out there for unemployment insurance," Speaker Nancy Pelosi said on the House floor.

Don't think about it. Just beleive it.
