Nope.
I don’t blame shops and stores for the state of things.
What I’d LIKE to do, and to WHOM I’d like do it, probably should not be mentioned on-line. It certainly wouldn’t involve bricks, though.

Much worse than I thought. This looks like Detroit circa 1967

Disgusting, empty-headed little rats!

First of all, I humbly suggest to posters that they ease up on them hammers, as while they are speaking from the heart, less than sympathetic government employees are likely recording what they say in an effort to justify their own and future misbehavior.

That being said, I would suggest that America is a much tougher nut to crack than old, tired Europe. They needed 1500 years of princely wars to break their spirit, but America is not weighted down with that baggage, nor as tolerant of such antics, despite the best efforts of those scoundrels in our country who would want us to emulate Europe’s neuroses.

As an example, I will cite the Rodney King riots. At first, the rioters were able to enter the Korean-American neighborhood and cause great chaos and anguish.

However, the Korean-Americans, having much more deeply integrated into the American way of doing things, i.e. being armed to the teeth, while retaining their Korean cultural tradition of vicious revenge when provoked, presented the rioters, by the second day, an armed camp that invasion of which would have proven suicidal.

And shortly thereafter, in the Korean tradition, a plane load of shaved head, heavily tattooed Korean killers arrived at LAX to provide punishment to those individuals who had trespassed and violated the Korean community.

Needless to say, such vengeance was kept out of the papers, and the LAPD had other, far more pressing things to do than protect rioters and criminals from their just desserts.

And, to their credit, the leaders of the Korean community were savvy enough to assure the civilian government that the Korean community was more than willing to let the silly blatherers in government try to reach all the consensus and “healing” that they wanted to.

At the same time the imported killers were out performing their contracted assignments of extreme and personal violence against rioters.

Which brings us up to current events, such as unruly mobs of racist young men, engaged in “wildings” at public events. And, in truth, for a time they have gotten away with it. And the authorities have, as yet, just wrung their hands and deplored the events, and looked at how society “must have wronged” such brigands to “drive” them to the point of their little racist rampages.

The public are not so forgiving, nor generous. This means that likely, in the near future, such a mob will attempt another “loot ‘n’ pillage”, but where there are armed citizens about, who will do a “Magnificent Seven” on the barbarians, sending a healthy handful to “Hell across lots.”

The government’s first duty is to ensure the rule of law. The British government has failed completely in this duty and Cameron should resign. What the videos show is police supervised looting and arson, with no attempt to stop the mayhem.

There is no sanctuary, no escape in this world today. It will be 100’s of yrs. before the world recovers IF it recovers. Isn’t Armageddon supposed to happen? Events sure point to its legitimacy.

While I oppose almost all forms of violence, I must admit that squelching a looter revolt here in the States would be an ideal skill-honing exercise for that greatest of all looming threats we’ve all been stocking up for — that imminent zombie invasion (and by that, I mean zombie invasion #2 — as it seems we all slept through the first walking-dead invasion in November 2008).

It’s about time. If it didn’t burn out after the first night, they needed to immediately change their strategy.

Wow. That should be an inspiration for the Brits.
They should be bringing in plane loads of Gurkhas and turning ‘em loose on the rioters.
Give 'em some backpacks, let them bring their kukris, and pay ‘em 100 pounds per head (detached from body) they turn in. I bet the riots would end post-haste.

“I do not see it as collapse. I see it as a lot of people demanding their governments get out of the way of day to day living. Will governments get the message?”

Except the majority of these people are anarchists and Commies wishing for redistribution, Marx style. They are not peaceful riots...they are teet suckers and babies who are too lazy to make their own way in the world. So they’ll steal others’ way.

I have heard that the looters are not limited to Jamaicans and Pakistanis, although apparently Jamaicans were the first to riot. Some FReepers had speculated that Turks may be involved as well, but, according to this, in these riots the London Turks are playing the part played by L.A. Interesting screen name! On one side, we’ve got the government-addicted left base, and unfortunately I think too many on the right seem to be searching for a General James Mattoon Scott. Or will be soon.

This is encouraging:

Television star Dan Snow 'arrested' a rioter as he looted a shop outside his London home, it was revealed today.

The 6ft 6in presenter confronted yobs as they raided a shoe shop outside his property in Notting Hill gate at around 11pm last night.

As around 50 people caused chaos outside he bravely rugby-tackled a thug and held him until police arrived.

He told The Times: 'As I came up I could hear police sirens coming up the road. 'One of them belted out of the shoe shop. He didn't see me coming, so I rugby-tackled him. He was quite surprrised.'

I agree we are next. We must stop Obama or we will be London. Gun control was the last progressive ideal to happen in the UK before it all went to hell.Obama wanted to legislate gun cfontrol via fast and furious. He was cought and exposed. There is some good news! Now we need to damn well make sure we do not divide and Obama conquers. We cannot split the vote in 2012.

It is so odd. William was married and all the people in the streets were peachy. The royals are protected during these riots by whom? Do people not realize Obama and our senate and congress live like kings?NWO will fail.I don’t want to try it, do you?

LOL! Just what I was thinking, tomkat.

Glenn made a couple of, shall we say, 'injudicious' posts and is probably hiding somewhere right now, wishing he had thought before he typed.

btw, I'm one of the many who would answer "NO!" to wanting to throw a brick through someone else's window.

Yikes, I hope you don't really feel like doing that, Glenn. Scary.

These rioters are either leftist anarchists or Muslims. Conservatives who want less government don't behave this way.

I wonder if any body in England is remembering Tory MP from Smethwick Peter Griffin’s 1964 campaign slogan right about now.

So true. I had an acquaintance who became ill over there. What a nightmare.
