Liberal firebrand Michael Moore called on President Obama to respond to the U.S. credit downgrade by arresting the leaders of the credit-ratings agencies.
On his Twitter feed Monday, the Oscar-winning film director also blamed the 2008 economic collapse on Standard & Poors apparently because it and other credit-ratings agencies did not downgrade mortgage-based bonds, which encouraged the housing bubble and let it spread throughout the economy.
Pres Obama, show some guts & arrest the CEO of Standard & Poors. These criminals brought down the economy in 2008& now they will do it again, Mr. Moore wrote.
Standard & Poors, one of three key debt agencies, stripped the U.S. federal government of its AAA status Friday night and reduced it to AA+ for the first time in the nations history.
Mr. Moore went on to note that the owners of S&P are old Bush family friends, continuing a theme he has developed through several films about capitalism as essentially a crony system for the rich and Wall Street, especially the Bush family.
He went on to link approvingly to an article last week in the Guardian, a left-wing British newspaper, about a police raid in Milan against the offices of S&P and fellow ratings agency Moodys. Italian police were searching for evidence on whether the rating agencies, in the words of a local prosecutor, respect regulations as they carry out their work.
Heres how they roll in Italy when it comes to these bastards, Mr. Moore cheered.
Mr. Moore did not note that Italys government is led by a conservative prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi, a business tycoon who also has long been accused by his countrys liberals and leftists of overseeing and benefiting from a system of crony capitalism.

“liberal firebrand Michael Moore”?
How about liberal anus Michael Moore?
Fatso’s inner Nazi is starting to come out.
bttt
His inner fat socialist weasel is coming out.
what an imbecilic knucklehead. As if even shooting the entire executive staff at S&P would chage the way the world looks at US debt instruments.
Once again, fatboy shows what a dimbulb he is.
Once again, fatboy shows what a dimbulb he is.
He didn’t blame the Tea Party? Must’ve not gotten the latest talking points.
Pure Stalin.
Who knew a hemmoroid could talk.
Moore . . . you show enough “guts” for a crowd.
Moore is showing his true mentality: totalitarian idiot. Michael, words once said can never be called back.
his inner fascism is showing
It seems these communists are very, very slow learners. Maybe Obozo will come to his senses some day. Sorry, but we cant wait 50 years so what say we get rid of his sorry ass in 2012?
Knucklehead Moore is blaming S&P for the housing debacle? Talk about revisionist history dude! Thanks to liberals, like Obozo, and the lack of oversight on the part of Bwaney Fwank and Chrissy Dodd, loans were given out to people who could not afford to repay them. S&P had nothing to do with the interest-only subprime loans being handed out like candy.
When will the intervention take place? I have visions of powerful, influential, smart and PATRIOTIC Americans marching into the White House to tell Barack Obama, "Enough is enough. You can go play Chicago politics with your anarchist friends, but we are going to put his country back on track!"
Where are you Ed Meese, Norman Schwarzkopf, Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Steve Forbes, Bill Clinton ...and so many more?
What I am watching is pure insanity, doesn't anyone else agree and wonder why no one is stepping in to say so? It's like America has become a nation of Katie Courics and Bryant Gumballs.
