Luxury watch maker Tag Heuer announced they are ending their relationship with the world's former top golf star.
The contract is believed to be worth more than $10m (£6m) and the Swiss firm are the sixth major sponsors to drop Woods following revelations about his personal life two years ago.
The Swiss watchmaker suspended use of Woods' image in the US after details of his extramarital affairs came to light following a 2009 crash outside his Orlando, Florida home.

Don't despair, Tigger. Our government has programs to assist the needy.

Using a golfer to endorse watches never made much sense to me. Is there any sport, where the precise time matters less than in golf?

I bet that is right! They suspended him and gave him a chance to revive his career. It has not happened and now the time is up.

Even Michael Vick is getting endorsements again. If Tiger wins a few tournaments, all of those sponsors will come back begging.

Golf is the game for executives. That’s Tag Heuer’s target market.

I don’t know about all, but he will get some.

My prediction that Tiger will announce his engagement to Casey Anthony and replace Joe Biden on the 2012 ticket is still alive, LOL. Once she dyes her hair blond, I see no reason why everything you claim here won't happen.

Well, Tiger, I hope the sex was worth it. So far it’s cost you quite a bit.

When Tiger began bulking on steroids & HGH (despite his denials), and sustaining injuries as a result, was the point at which I hoped the cheater would not break Jack Nicklaus’ majors record. Now there is some confidence the reprobate will not...good!

Obviously his huge money days are gone.
If he retires from golf, he can do a reality tv series and make a solid income.

I've always been skeptical that Celebrity endorsements were worth anywhere near the money that Companies were paying out. Granted I'm not in advertising or sales but I really question endorsements in general. And we ought to be pass the point where someone would select product A over product B because Tiger Woods or anyone else endorsed the product.
Buick has been on a roll lately. It isn't because they dropped Tiger Woods. It isn't because Tiger Woods endorsed Buick for a number of years. I think all the money Buick spent for Woods' endorsement was money poured down a rat hole. Does any celebrity endorse BMW?
Buick is on a roll because they are making some damn fine automobiles that they were not making 5 years ago. That's the difference in Buick. The product is the key not the endorsement. I hope companies see the light but knowing the type of people who are in marketing and sales, I don't expect much change from them.

I believe the sentence should read:
The contract is believed to be worth more than $10m (£6m) and the Swiss firm is the sixth major sponsor to drop Woods following revelations about his personal life two years ago.

Never Beat Nicklaus. Not happening...

It is a UK publication. Thus the grammar is correct for the UK which uses a plural verb with a collective noun.
The English have a strange way with the English language.

Exactly right. They aren’t dropping him for excercising his Johnson, they are dropping him because his game sucks.
IF and WHEN his game comes back so will the advertisers.

Lost his wife... Threw her, and his kids away, actually.....
And his caddy. Notice how well his caddy and partner are doing? Now look at how the kat is doing. Tiger and king obama are one and the same. They need to blame someone else for all their failings.
