Dean: What is tea party smoking?

Former Democratic National Chairman Howard Dean says the tea party was "totally unreasonable" in the deficit-reduction debate and warns that Republicans are being held hostage.

"This is a tea party problem," Dean said Sunday on CBS's "Face the Nation." "They are totally unreasonable and doctrinaire and not founded in reality. I think they've been smoking some of that tea, not just drinking it."

"This is ridiculous what's going on here," he said.

The firebrand Democrat and former Vermont governor said the Standard & Poor's downgrade of the nation's credit is "a good thing" because it underscores the need to raise revenue to address the nation's fiscal crisis.

But he said certain elements of the Republican Party make it impossible for reasonable people to do what Dean said is right -- raising taxes on the wealthy.

“Breasts are sacred”

Thank you for that beautiful thought.

For confirmation of that sentiment, listen to Rodney Carrington’s “Show Them to Me” on youtube.

Dems have been giving away the Nation's money to their pet victim groups for years...

Special housing loans for inner city people who have NO CHANCE of ever paying the money back

'disability' for gang bangers

'disability' for HIV positive men who aren't sick

'disability' for drug addicts

'disability' for men, women and children with bad tempers ( flash mob members) etc.

And after giving away everything to their losers, they want to blame the Tea Party? Eff 'em.

No, reasonable people know that raising taxes on the "wealthy" has a direct and negative effect on job creation. Reasonable people also know that there is nothing "fair" about progressive taxes; fairness would be everyone who has an income paying the same percentage of it as taxes.

Apparently, whatever the Tea Partiers are smoking, it's not nearly as potent as what Dean has been smoking.

Bush was a single person. The left was able to isolate the target. They can't do that with the millions who hold the purse strings. It's like the old saying goes - "Never bite the hand that feeds you."

I believe this principal is true than might be generally imagined. It's an effect of the information revolution. For one brief moment in history, the old order has been upended and real democracy is available. It will not last long.

If he thinks we were totally unreasonable during the deficit reduction debate, wait till he sees us in the 2012 elections!

the Tea Party MUST make it clear what T.E.A. stands for. A lot of people don't know. They think the party is just a bunch of "patriots", but that's it.

Taxpayers, which are 50% of the population, need to know the Tea Party supports them as much as they should support the Tea Party.

This is why the left is making a few waves with this. They never mention it's just a large number of American taxpayers who've had enough.
The liberal media makes it a point to avoid letting the American people now what T.E.A stands for. I've run into two people who didn't know until I told them, and they immediately became enlightened. They were taxpayers!

As we all know, initially there was no official Tea PARTY. Those, of both main political parties, as well as independents and others, who joined in the peaceful demonstrations and rallies last year adopted the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) slogan. This involved into becoming called Tea Partiers, ala then the movement became known as Tea Party. From the beginning of this grass roots movement the Liberals and Democrats couldn't accept that Americans of all political ideals could participate in a joint movement and so they had to characterize them as far right wing, fringe element Republicans.

What the Democrat politicians never wanted to acknowledge was that when their politicians criticized the movement, they were/are finding fault with many of their own Democrat party.

However, I really don't believe the Dems are afraid of them. I think they are trying to brand and antagonize those who are part of the TEA movement on purpose. The goal of these politicians who blame the so called "Tea Party" is so that these like thinking people become a more closely knit unit in order to be protective of themselves and ideas and thwart off the offenses flung at them. And, of course, it is working since very soon the members had their own leaders, and candidates whom they supported. This is just what the Dems want because they feel that the GOP stands to suffer the worst losses of voters and by splitting the GOP, Democrat candidates and policies will win.

That is why the Democrat politicians who spew such hateful attacks laced with inappropriate language and name calling are always in the news. They have taken up the charge on purpose, probably have been told to do so by the authorities in the Dem Party. And the ones selected to do this are the old fools , like Kerry, Dean, and Reid who have been around Washington a long time and have already established a reputation for saying stupid things and behaving in an abrasive manner. Each party has members like that...the ones they select to go out and blow the horns and scare or criticize people.

Yep, it is a plot that drives them, IMHO, and not fear. The Dems are trying hard to destroy the GOP. So, by giving the TEA partiers the benefit of being considered an actual, official, established political party Dems feel the GOP will be split and weakened. The tactic is called Divide and Conquer.

Dean: What is tea party smoking?

The tea party is smoking a stout blunt of A-number-1 AAA-rated reality. Probably a blend that is unfamiliar to most democRATS.

I thought this clown was in jail; another poster boy for the dysfunctional "business-as-usual" brainless politicians.

Unreasonable?
"Hostages?"
Doctrinnaire?
Not founded in reality?
What are they smoking?

Every one of those "progressive talking points" are certainly at play. But by whom?

The issue is settled; there no longer can be a debate about our national finances.
The issue is truly settled.

This moron mentality has created a society equally divided between working producers and idle parasites. But it's more damaging than that. The working segment consist of wealth parasites pretending to work, but adding ZERO to the national wealth.

Our national debt can't be paid, by the mathematics of the real world in less than a generation, with substantial sacrifices. And these functional retards insist that the solution to the crisis is doubling or tripling the current debt.

The invisible hand has always been in play, whether it is acknowledged or not.

This criminal failed in politics, rejected by his fellow citizens, and he continues to strut his ego and his ignorance as if what he thinks actually matters.

There is a historical solution to arrogance of this magnitude. And it ain't pretty. To the rest of us with functional brain cells, the only remaining question is when will that solution be triggered? '
