Waiting for Gloria Steinem to sing I am woman.
Tel Aviv stock market down about 6%, ceased trading for a while.
[Where are all those who claimed ‘buying opportunity’ when dips happened during the Bush year?]
How low will stocks go -— Monday Monday Monday?
So very true about energy. Removing the onerous restrictions (and no, I am not talking about mine safety) on mining and drilling for oil and gas would jump start the economy. Not only would the energy companies employ hundreds of thousands, but it would mean an uptick in employment for all of the suppliers.
Also, cheap energy here would compensate for our higher labor costs, allowing us to be competitive with products internationally. And we could export surplus fuels.
The best part of this is it would not require one thin dime of taxpayer money. Just signing a piece of paper repealing all of the restrictions.
replies are going to other than they are intended.
Just another Leftist hacker induced glitch I suppose.
Still,nice to hear from you:)
Thanks very much for the thread, Alas Babylon!!!
MTP comes on here at the top of the hour. I'm going to try to watch. Emphasis on *try*.
You're one tolerant guy, rodguy911. I couldn't bear to endure C-SPAN's idiot callers and *Never on Sunday*.
I just wanted to repeat the one sentence above in this brilliant set of paragraphs that well define the problem/solution we face as a nation and how to fix it by one of tomorrows great leaders Mr. Bray.
If we can't fund this site who or what can we fund?
It only takes a dollar a day.

I once opened a door for her going in to a department store. She didn't even say "Thank you." I think it ticked her off. That was fun.
Yes and a job well done
Yes and a job well done
This frantic push back by the Left tells us they know full well who will be blamed for this downgrade.
Hey Lindsay, Brokeback Mountain this weekend? Back rubs, fondu, schnorrrsss, yeahhhhhh!
I loved it yesterday when Stu said he was European, and he did not want to see US become Europe.
Thanks AB. Much effort to blame Tea Party for the S&P downgrade. Just outrageous. The Tea Party IS the American People.
The only silver lining I can see in all of this is that oil should keep dropping. I was worried that zero might just ignore the entire debt fiasco especially after he spent the entire debt ceiling bump in hours but no worries it seems.
He’s going on a listening(make that fund raising) tour by bus....I’m trying to think who else goes on tour by bus....now what was her name....Palin I believe.
NO talking back to our DBM leaders MM....They always know more than their listeners.
