So very true about energy. Removing the onerous restrictions (and no, I am not talking about mine safety) on mining and drilling for oil and gas would jump start the economy. Not only would the energy companies employ hundreds of thousands, but it would mean an uptick in employment for all of the suppliers.

Also, cheap energy here would compensate for our higher labor costs, allowing us to be competitive with products internationally. And we could export surplus fuels.

The best part of this is it would not require one thin dime of taxpayer money. Just signing a piece of paper repealing all of the restrictions.
