Bring it on. The more crap that floats to the top, the smellier it gets. Corzine will be another albatross on the administrations neck. Is he still a billionaire? Well, maybe the rats will shut up about the Koch brothers.

Goldman Sachs. An old political hack who wrote the map for our economic destruction. He will put a cork in it.

I always get a chuckle when I hear the hobbit reference, I personally think we should embrace it. After all the hobbits were the good guys who managed too, against all odds, take down a monolithic evil empire. Kind of appropriate I think...

If Obama nominates him, then the GOP Senators should ask him what he was doing in the backseat of his government SUV with his young “aide” when his driver wrecked it at 91 MPH.

Oh Dear God, not Daddy Warbucks.

Heed my words, he destroyed the economy of NJ, and there was some funny business between him and Goldman/Sacs.

His background in economics is..............???????????

He was CEO of Goldman Sachs. Honestly, the guy is a dick, and would not be my first tenth choice if, heaven forbid, I was POTUS. But he'd probably be a bit better than Geithner. Granted, that isn't saying much.

It sounds as though Corzine’s job search hasn’t been going well. Gotta get the boy back into government.

“Here’s an idea: Why not suspend the appointment process of the Secretary of the Treasury and make the post a perpetual Goldman Sachs office—a personal fiefdom, historically similar to Roman Caesars and the European royal monarchies?”

Exactly, if Jon Corzine does for the Treasury what he did to New Jersey we would all be better of living in Argentina (circa 2001).

Back in early 2008 there were strong rumors that Corzine would be named to fill the Treasury Secretary post if Hillary Clinton had won the election. Corzine went out and endorsed Clinton during the primary season when the race was still competitive, and only later supported Obama after it became obvious that he would win.

Corzine's endorsement was seen as very telling at the time, since it had almost no bearing on the primary race. Corzine was governor of New Jersey at the time, and New Jersey has such a late primary date that its primary really has no influence in presidential races.
