Security Tells Woman Isulin Vial Was An Explosives Risk.
Aaron Nieman is frustrated, after his pregnant wife's insulin and ice packs were confiscated by TSA screeners at Denver International Airport on Thursday afternoon.
The couple has traveled around the world with her supplies and have never encountered any troubles before. "It made me feel upset and made me feel somewhat helpless," he said.
His wife is traveling alone to a baby shower in Phoenix. She asked us not to use her name for fear of security and retaliation for speaking out.

. . .
People increasingly fear the government and that’s chilling.
Going to be LOTS of fun when they have complete control over our health care as well.
Bush's fault.
I'm sure thay have the statistics. do you?
They sure seem awfully quiet about all this BS.
Maybe the press isn't carrying the message.
Every day... another TSA story... but nothing from the airlines fighting back.
same answer.
I wouldnt fly even if it were free... just to avoid the hassle.
I'm willing to drive across the continent but not row across the Atlantic or pacific. And you?

TSA agents ... Stupid, barely literate thugs who, in the real world, are not qualified to ask “ Do you want fries with that?”
And these buffoons are supposed to protect the flying public?
Yeah ... Right!
Isn’t everything!
Insulin IS necessar for diabetics. The good new, if such there be in this, is that her doc can call her Rx into a pharmacy in Phoenix and she can get more there. Or TSA could send out to her on the next flight and deliver directly to her.
Wasn’t there a major brouhaha post-9/11 about airline screeners HAVING to be public servants (using the term loosely), and not employees of private companies? That was really effective.
The worst part of the whole TSA mess is that the agency and their procedures are not there to make anyone safe. They are there to make the gullible feel safe.
No, it doesn’t even really make the gullible safe.
It’s all about sublimating the welfare of the public to the needs of the state. It’s why the TSA and the police are both acting like thugs these days.
Yes and why not? People keep accepting it and getting on planes. Sheep.
they wanted a caliber of people that would just do the job as told, kind of like robots, regardless of what was involved.
The prescription labels are on the box, not the bottles. The labels are too big to fit directly on the vial.
Second, all insulin carry packs I am aware of do not accommodate the box. Carry packs can hold the glucose meter, a syringe or two, test strips and the vial.
Yes, she could get more at a pharmacy in Phoenix, but most insurance companies will not pay for a prescription that is not about to run out. For example, I cannot get my refills until I’m within 7 days of needing them again. On a 90 day refill, that means if I try to get them sooner than 83 days after I last got them, the insurance company won’t pay. I would have to pay for the prescription out-of-pocket and the insurance company won’t reimburse me.
Maybe we should supply a few of these unionized folks with a dosimeter film badge for a day or two...
then we might see how willing they are to scan away ....?
I think the American people will stand and say, “enough!”, at some point.
I hope so.
"Liquid medications should be labeled, and those in quantities larger than 3.4 ounces (100ml) each need to be separated from other carry-on items and declared to the security officer as medically necessary. A declaration can be made verbally, in writing, or by a person's companion, caregiver, interpreter, or family member. Liquids in excess of 3.4 ounces will require additional screening."
Did she follow their procedures or did they screw up.

The reason we have the TSA out of control is first and foremost because we have allowed a Moslem to rule America and agin equally as destructive to our freedom the acceptance of Islam in America.
There is only several logical solutions, remove Obama and then adopt the Israeli profiling methods against a common enemy and that is the brainwashed dammed that worship Islam.
My husband’s insulin comes in pens(syringes) not bottles, this woman is behind the times. Even when it did come in bottles the bottles were tiny.
