Good thing he didn’t sign away the Gadsden Purchase back to Mexico.

The day I signed, I had way too much to drink. It was after 5 p.m. and I signed it (the contracts) and I didn't know what I was signing,"

Sounds like he'll fit right in at Congress.

From the ABQ Journal:

A former El Paso police officer and Sunland Park municipal judge, Resendiz has been the border town’s mayor since March 2008. He has said he plans to seek the Democratic nomination to challenge Republican U.S. Rep. Steve Pearce to represent southern New Mexico.

That is what happens when the Mexican people vote for a Mexican mayor, regardless as to his experience. The only thing required is a Mexican last name.

That’s the way it’s done down here where I live. No experience necessary, just family name.

I know a black man that was voted into our highest office simply because he was black. Isn’t that amazing? Now we all see how qualified he really was.

I don’t think I’ve ever actually been to the track but we used to see the signs when we drove to El Paso when I went to college in Cruces.
