Voters in the key swing state of Pennsylvania have some troubling news for President Obama: A majority say he doesn't deserve another four years in the White House.
According to a Quinnipiac University poll released Tuesday, 52 percent of registered Pennsylvania voters say the president does not deserve a second term while 42 percent support his re-election.
The presidents job approval ratings are also underwater in the Keystone State, 43 percent to 54 percent. The majority of independent voters disapprove of the job Obama is doing, 56 percent to 40 percent. By a nine-point margin, 51 percent of this important voting bloc dont think the president deserves re-election.

DONE right there. PA going red in the last midterm proved that. You dont go red and then turn around and vote for the idiot that turned your stomach in the first place. With the voter ID in place now in that state just watch what happens.
The key point. Which is why the media is working overtime to ensure liberal RINO scum like Slick Willard, Huntsman or some other fill-in-the-blank ends up with the GOP nod. A bad split is the only way to ensure a Zero regime continuation.
That would be the scumbags in eastern PA.
I envy your optimism.
There is one scenario in which Obama has to carry only 19 states plus DC to garner 271 evs - and these are all states he carried last time.
Whomever wins 2 of the 3 following states will be elected president - FL, PA, OH
You Betcha !
Harrisburg and Philly are gonna be extreme hotbeds for the 2012 elections when rats try and pull some multi-municipality voting and are denied. I can here it all the way out here in the western side aleady, "I was DISENFRANCHISED!!!!!" and lawyers will swarm in to halt the elections by tying it all up in the multiple layers of the legal system.
Wish I had it in me to be a total douche; fake id's and the makers thereof are gonna make a killing in about 12 months.
I'm just praying were not the next "Floriduh" (apologies to ya good guys down there).
I hope your numbers are right, but then there are the American people who don’t like to admit they erred.
I would love to know the areas they polled...
RUN SOON SARAH RUN...PENNSYLVANIA NEEDS YOU...
This area is full of welfare and retired citizens...there is no decent jobs or manufacturing available...our shopping consists of Wal Mart... my family left here almost 60 years ago and how I ever left hubby talk me into returning after retirement...I'll never know...It's beautiful rural country but that is all...
That’s not to say that Pennsylvanians are going conservative. Pennsylvania is full of the meanest, dumbest, commie, union thugs in this whole country. There mad cause they aren’t getting enough Obama bucks. Pennsylvanians will roll out the red carpet for the next commie candidate that promises them something for nothing.
“There is one scenario in which Obama has to carry only 19 states plus DC to garner 271 evs - and these are all states he carried last time.”
In the scenario I mentioned, the Republican candidate wins all of the McCain states plus IN, NC, VA, FL, OH and the Omaha CD, and Obama draws an inside straight and wins the remaining 23 states (plus DC) and ekes out a 272-266 Electoral College victory. I don’t think that Obama can win FL, so the inside straight is his best bet.
“Whomever wins 2 of the 3 following states will be elected president - FL, PA, OH”
If the Republican wins FL and OH, or FL and PA, but Obama wins the other state, Obama still has a chance of drawing the inside straight and winning (with 272 EVs if he wins PA and with a bare-minimum 270 EVs if he wins OH); remember, Bush won two of those three states (FL and OH) in 2000 and it would have all been for naught had he not carried NH by a little over 1% (the Dems made sure to steal WI, NM and OR). And if Obama carries FL, he could win despite losing not only OH and PA, but WI (or MN, or CO, or both NV and NH, or both IA and NH, or both NM and NH) instead.
Thank you. I envy anyone with a handle like yours. He was one heck of a man of which there will be no other like him.
What is wrong with that 42%? Are they nuts?
It’s a secret ballot so they don’t have to.
Right, trade FL for OH. My point is that there are inside-straight scenarios that make his re-election possible in the low 270s - as you’ve identified.
