Chicago - The number of Americans newly infected with HIV remained stable between 2006 and 2009, but infections rose nearly 50 percent among young black gay and bisexual men, U.S. experts said on Wednesday. New data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveal progress since the peak of the HIV epidemic in the 1980s. Yes, and the sad part is that pop culture is like the killing blow for black masculinity, or even general masculinity as a whole. When the TV sitcom dad is an idiot,a metro, or gay and the typical TV woman is some super-attractive woman, what does that say? What’s even more troublesome is the fact I heard a while ago is the risk that some black women may have due to black men not being just gay, but also potentially bisxeual, which means that the women they have relations with may also be at risk for whatever they pick up from the male-male behaviors.
