Leadership. Congressional leaders were forced to ask President Wonderful and his aides to leave the White House meeting so that they could get something done. The Hill reported:
GOP aides and lawmakers, speaking on background, portrayed Boehner as the calm negotiator who repeatedly exasperated President Obama.
Boehner last month asked the networks to televise his response to Obamas address to the nation, a request which infuriated the White House, Republican sources said.
On July 23, they claim, the White House called Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), telling her not to participate on a call with Boehner, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). Pelosi informed Reid, who declined to participate, and the call was canceled, the Republican sources said. (A Pelosi spokesman could not be reached for comment.)
Later that day, the four leaders met with Obama at the White House. At one point, GOP officials said, the Democratic and Republican leaders asked Obama and his aides to leave the room to let them negotiate.
A tentative deal was subsequently struck, but Obama privately threatened to veto it, the sources said.

Overheard on his way out: “maybe we can get in eighteen.”

Obama must go—for the benefit of the nation. He must be a one term guy! Anyone would be better! Even Hillary! (That’s not saying much)

Anyone who believes this WH has it's act together enough to win reelection is nuts. These Obummer crybaby stories are becoming more frequent as we get closer to '12. It is just a matter of time that this spills out to a campaign event in public.

Of course in a more diplomatic manner, but the point would have been the same.

Nice find.
It would be great to have this as a Saturday Night Live skit... They could do it just as it is written up and it would seem fiction to the great mass of Dems, but come across as funny.
They don’t have the guts, but a guy can dream.

He must be a one term guy! Anyone would be better! Even Hillary! (Thats not saying much)Thinking about your post, I just realized it might be Obama's worst nightmare to have a Sarah Palin / Hillary Clinton ticket. The Tea Party people and conservative Republicans would all vote for that ticket because of Sarah Palin, and the RINOS and Democrats would all vote for that ticket because of Hillary Clinton.
(I'm just joking about that possible ticket there, guys... I'm just sayin'....) hehe

Plain/Hillary Ticket—a dream ticket (or nightmare) How long before one killed the other? Rather see a Palin/Perry Ticket or even a Romney/Cain ticket. I would rather see ANYONE as president rather than Obama.

Plain/Hillary Ticketa dream ticket (or nightmare) How long before one killed the other?Oh, that's so funny to think about a ticket like that, yet even funnier thinking of the the "dynamic" results that might arise! hehe
Nah... Guess that wouldn't work. :)
