The politicans voting yes lied to us. Allen West claimed to be a tea party leaning politician but lied. This was like Tarp all over. We had the house. All we needed to do was hold the line. Spending would of balanced. Now we are heading for QE3 and the depression can start as the interest increases.
The House just gave us a very big slice of pie - but with only one out of 3 bodies, they simply don't have all the ingredients to bake and deliver a whole pie.
People need to turn their ire and energy to getting more Tea Party folks to DC to help bake the pies!
Instead, they're throwing a temper tantrum - If THIS is the way they're going to react, we don't need to worry about the libs. We'll shoot ourselves down.
I'm hoping this thread means that most of the level headed FR’s are busy doing something else tonight and we are left with an over abundance of knee-jerkers.
The States can’t even keep their house in order. Do you really think the States want a Federal balance budget. You can imagine what California vote will be. Most are in line for a handout.
There are no cuts in this bill. Just promised reductions in the rate of growth in spending sometime out in the future which will never get here. And the so-called super congress is totally unconstitutional. It’s a dangerous game they’re playing.
It doesn’t give him an “open check book”, though. Read the bill!

It is downright embarrassing to witness the complete ignorance on this thread by most posters. Ranting and screaming “RINO” and “vote them out”, “Allen West is a COWARD”.
They can't recognize this as the VICTORY that it is under the circumstances. The tide is turning and we are WINNING, yet most here are too ignorant to see it. WE WON this battle! With fewer troops, inferior weapons, and traitors in our midst. Many of you want to SHOOT our valiant, victorious soldiers? You should be ashamed of yourselves. Thank God none of YOU are in Congress.

This was not a difficult decision. There was no legitimate call for a debt ceiling increase, and anyone so uninformed as not to understand what it represents does not belong in congress.

BBA vote to get people on record.
Need to win Senate and White House in order to restructure everything in a productive manner.
It’s a small victory, but the longer war still continues.
States largely have to balance their budgets. CA only has one vote out of 50 on an amendment, anyhow.
I don’t think BBA will pass congress, but those votes will be a primary weapon in 2012. I just ask FReepers to show a bit of patience, but that seems to be asking too much.
A whackadoodle like the poster from the other night that claimed a visit from the FBI and/or CIA? Amazing that he was able to break free momentarily and shield his dog before they shot it. Wow, that was an entertaining thread.
