Voting on the main bill?
I thought they were, but it is just the quorum call vote.
Real vote on the Debt Ceiling bill should be starting momentarily.

Savage’s guest needs to wrap her brain around the fact that shameless people are unmotivated by shame. So quit describing members of congress like school kids where a little humility would straighten them out.

Caller is entirely wrong. Saying that since corporations don’t pay taxes because they can simply fold those costs into the price of their product is a false argument. Everyone who pays taxes, even joe sixpack, does the same thing except implicitly.

Too bad Savage savaged the Russian who essentially stated that corporate taxes are a cost of doing business. My guess is that Savage is a Subchapter S Corp and that he pays his corporate taxes through his personal return. GE not paying taxes in the US gives them a competitive advantage which is why they seek the benefits they seek. We have a lot to learn from those Russians who fled the USSR. We ought not to belittle them.

That last caller (Pavel?) is your typical commie lib, saying that corporations don’t pay taxes ‘cause they raise costs to the consumer to make up the difference. Yeah, it’s called profits, you idiot! Businesses don’t survive without those *evil* profits (economics 101). Then he says that Savage’s corporation is “unusual”, since he doesn’t provide a tangible product. Evidently this “genius” hasn’t heard of information services (such as broadband providers). Good lord, I need to Lysol my brain after that call.

Listen to this latest caller accusing Savage of getting “tax breaks”. Yet another entitlement lib demonizing the wealthy. If this idiot wants to talk about tax breaks, how about those who suckle at the teat of the taxpayer and in return pay ZERO taxes! Talk about a win/win for the entitlement class. If it weren’t for the corporate suits and middle class (whom the Obamunist deems wealthy), these socialist programs wouldn’t exist.

One of the best political cartoons I’ve ever laid eyes on. Don’t see a link, but I’m curious to whom the author is?
