I must correct their lies. There is not a nickle in spending cuts in this bill.
It's absolutely idiotic to pile on more debt and continue spending when you're already so deeply in debt that you can never get out.

Ok so let’s say this bill passes as it seems it probably will. Then what? What happens if 2012 goes in our favor and we gain even more seats in the house and we get back the Senate and pray God, Obama loses. Or,what if we get back the whole of Congress but Obama still wins. Are future Congresses bound to this agreement. I know it will become law but can it be repealed or whatever? Or what if new legislation is proposed and passed that cuts taxes and basically nullifies this deal?
Someone please help me out. Give me best case scenario if this turd passes.
Not a very good criteria there. What of those who withold their votes until the bill has enough YES votes to pass and then vote NO. This happened with 6 pubs during the Boner Bill vote the other day. They just jumped on the bandwagon to look good to the TP.
They should then turn to the Senate and say we passed CCB deal with it while we prepare a prioritizing spending bill for tomorrow....
Jim, I haven’t felt this kind of despair since Congress was ramming Obamacare down our throats. Their complete disregard for their sworn oaths, their responsibilities, our country, the people they are supposed to represent—it’s stunning.
Excellent post. I look at this bunch and realize that we wouldn`t get too much more even if R`s ran the senate and had the White House. The reason is that there are just as many Republicans who want pork as Dems—of course they have `good reasons`. This is why we need Tea Party folks IN CONTROL because as we saw this weekend TPers don`t give a crap about the speaker at their fundraiser. We must learn this: THERE IS A FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE REPUBLICAN AND THE TEA PARTY MINDSETS. Tea Partiers [it seems to me] actually BELIEVE what Republicans INCLUDING SO-CALLED CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS CLAIM TO BELIEVE. sorry for so many caps but we must learn this, and vote accordingly. We have to stop looking at politicians as `our guys/gals` and regard them coldly—do they DO and not just SAY? If yes, support them, if not, out they go. No more of the country club get-along types—it`s time for representatives of stature and honesty.

I am now just totally disgusted with the national Republican Party. They willfully acquiesced to the Democrats lies about August 2nd being 'default day' and scurried to 'make a deal' that they could claim was a 'victory' for the GOP because it didn't specifically include any new taxes. However, the 'deal' gives the Marxist president Obama permission to immediately borrow over 2 trillion dollars, leading the U.S. deeper in debt while the spending 'cuts' are relatively small and mostly ethereal, conveniently spaced out over a decade, making them less than useless. As so many are saying: we've been had, yet again. Had enough, yet? I have. I'm hoping the TEA party Representatives hold the line and sink this insult to the American taxpayer.
That Michele Bachman is vowing to vote against this monstrosity has raised my admiration for her. I'm hoping my real favorite, Sarah Palin, makes a definitive statement on this proposed Bill and that she wallops it hard,, as she should. If she doesn't - or remains silent - Palin will have greatly diminished her stature as a constitutional conservative, in my eyes. I don't think that will happen. In any event, I'm against this Bill and I'm against any Republican House member that votes for it, no matter their past record or conservative 'credentials'. This is the metaphorical 'line in the sand' for most conservatives. It certainly is for me. Cross it and - as a member of congress - you're no longer representing me (or any American) but simply playing the old political game of 'screw the taxpayer'. Well, this time it'll be coming right back at you because we're done with this crap.
If the TEA party plays this correctly...they will vote NO and the measure fails.
This forces 0bama to finally do more than vote present. It forces him to use his dictatorial powers. 0bama then owns whatever mess ensues.
And the TEA party can point out until the elections...we tried to stop them.
Come January 2013, if 0bama wins massive tax burdens go into effect from pre-existing legislation. The country will be ungovernable at that point. The minor mobs prior to the elections...will be nothing in the aftermath of an 0bama election win.
0bama loses. New President exercises full Executive Authority to mitigate,nullify, and/or immediate repeal of the damaging laws. The country still intensifies with violence, but it becomes short-lived as our economy starts to come back online.
I have made the call to all my congresscritters. I registered my discontent with the monstrosity that came out of the Senate to my tea party freshman congresswoman and with Senators Bill Nelson and Marco Rubio. Rubios rep said he will not vote for the monstrosity. I think the Congresswoman will vote against it but the Democratic Demagogue Bill Nelson will likely vote for it because he cares nothing for the American People but only for his Demagoguery.
