“The future stuff is meaningless. It will be completely ignored.”
JimRob should announce that the administration of Freerepublic has decided NOT to spend $1 billion dollars next year. Next he should go to a bank and say we have saved $1 billion dollars, and therefore we want to borrow only $500 million.
Freepathons would be a thing of the past!
The joint committee's proposal is enacted,
10:25am | Romney’s opposition makes it harder to get GOP votes.
House Republicans need every vote they can get to make sure this deal passes. The opposition from Romney largely considered a fiscal moderate and the party’s frontrunner to unseat President Barack Obama makes that job MUCH harder.
10:22am | Romney opposes debt deal.
Here’s the full Romney statement opposing the debt deal:
As president, my plan would have produced a budget that was cut, capped and balanced not one that opens the door to higher taxes and puts defense cuts on the table.
President Obamas leadership failure has pushed the economy to the brink at the eleventh hour and 59th minute. While I appreciate the extraordinarily difficult situation President Obamas lack of leadership has placed Republican Members of Congress in, I personally cannot support this deal.

What are the schedules of when the House and Senate plan to vote on this?
I am not sure which performance of theater BS was better. The 2008 event or this one?
Makes you want to scream. All so predictable. The only little fly in the ointment this time around was the Tea Party. The Tea Party has a lot more strength than anyone ever realized. If they pick up more seats in 2012 then there is at least some chance that we can turn this ship around. If we lose 2012 then for many of us I think we will consider it game over.
Enjoy life and what little will be left of the America we once knew.
I don’t see us lasting much longer. Not at this pace.
I don’t see a schedule yet. Some are saying it won’t come up for a vote until tonight in the House. But - I don’t think anyone has a time table. Not that I have read, at least.
Now THAT has got to tell you something about this so called DEAL. Not Good! BEWARE!
VOTE NO!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing is better than this "Deal".
It is 74 pages and unreadable with out having all the references to other laws, codes and bills it refers to.
First off, Biden as VP is president of the Senate so from that regard, he should be with the entire senate, not those from his political party IMO.
Biden as VP HAS NO STANDING in the House, period end of story. The fact he is meeting with the dems makes this as political an event as can be. The house has a speaker, bad as he is, it is bonehead, he should be voicing concern about this and in fact should tell the capitol police to repel him.
This Super-Congress subject. I don’t recall voting on that subject?
This is a sham x 10.
Another beltway fairy tale. What a surprise. No cuts and a clear path for dims to raise taxes. What a victory!
Lindsay Graham a “NO” vote on this.
Someone posted a link in another thread showing all the companies shedding jobs. Can’t find the thread or the link. Anyone know that link?
10:56am | Heritage Action for America will “key-vote” the debt limit deal.
The conservative group is opposing the bill and will count support for the bill against members of Congress in their official vote records.

I find that if I trust no one and assume that all are going to migrate to the dark side, these questions are answered.
At least I'm never disappointed.
The market knows....It’s all smoke and mirrors with no REAL meaning.
Marco Rubio also a “NO” vote.
Someone give me a play-by-play of the parade. I have important things to do.
Fox news talking about how it is all a game and the fix is in. How the House will make sure they get enough votes - hot the house members will play the game of trading votes - blah blah blah blah
Dow 8000 here we come. How long will it take this time around?
