The folks over at DU hate this deal.
It’s clear there’s at least some good in it.
And, no taxes.
But, we can’t stop.
Something must be done to ensure enough cuts to avoid a credit downgrade.
No more pie in the sky bye and bye. No more rationalization of the ideological treason of the slimeballs and surrendermonkeys who run the GOP caucuses. Make them take their portable mattresses, portable red lights and sacks of quarters home permanently. Be enraged. Be very enraged.
If the GOP House caucus cannot cast a unanimous vote against ANY debt limit increase, then let's have a vote to identify the traitors and vow to destroy every one. That is common sense not dictatorship.
I suppose you hallucinate that you are somehow a conservative when you post "they may as well vote for it." Go back to Huffpo, DU or wherever you came from. Nonetheless, despite your pose, you want to give Obama Claus $2.4 trillion to squander in his re-election effort on public sector employees, welfare trash and set up via this "compromise" the ability of Hussein and hid Demonrats to sharply cut defense spending without having to vote for it. Bill Daley, Robert Axelrod, Paul Krugman, is that you???
Actually the defense cuts will come out of hardware and military pay to render us a pitiful defenseless giant which is what the anti-Americans in our politics and even in our party want. I can easily do without Libya and Yemen and it is outright dangerous on many fronts to allow wars to be run by the likes of Hussein so let him cut and run but preserve the wisdom of even more aggressive warfare when desirable. Make those wars devastating to the enemy, spectacular, memorable and bill every nickel to the defeated and make them pay. No nation building. No rebuilding what we destroy. Kill the enemy. Break his stuff. Do it quickly and get the hell out.
You forgot rule #1: Purge and destroy RINOs. Calmly, clearly and decisively. If you want to tolerate the RINO prostitutes, then there is not and never will be a “we” because you will be part of “they.”

Russia and China are not self destructive, they want to actually BUILD their country and they (even in the throes of Communism) never let their science and engineering industries wither. They also have never let their entertainment industry run their culture and they do not tolerate criminals and degeneracy. Everything that America had going for it was squandered.
Yes, true RINOS which showed their colors through this fiasco (some of them conservatives who REALLY surprised, shocked and disappointed me) ought to be “primaried” or threatened with primary challenges. It’s nothing short of disgusting.

And,so far, not a word, not even a whisper, from Media Darling Mitt Romney, the next Republican to be shoved down our throats by open primaries and union crossover voting. Republicans never learn, and our country is doomed.

I didn't think impatience was a trait of a conservative. Perseverance is.
But Bambi is not about winning wars, he’s about funneling money and acquiring the people who can do what he wants with it...which is now to win the next election.
I’m all for fighting these wars to win....but that’s not how the commander in chief works...to our own soldiers and their families loss.
I wish I could agree with you, but if the democrats in the House vote for this as a block, then they only need 25 republicans to have a majority. That means that most republicans can vote against this and be safe in their districts.
Those republicans who vote for it will be pubbies who are in liberal-leaning districts, and they will not be injured by it, but will probably be helped. The leadership will see to it that repubs voting for this will only be those whose districts are liberal leaning. That will allow them to give cover to all those pubs who would be hurt by a yes vote.
