NATO strikes Libyan state TV facility
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization says its forces conducted air-strikes on Libya's state TV satellite facility in the capital Tripoli.
NATO said in a statement on Saturday that its fighter aircraft used precision guided munitions to destroy 3 ground-based satellite transmission dishes.
The organization explained that the intervention was necessary as TV was being used as an integral component of the regime designed to systematically oppress and threaten civilians, and incite attacks against them.
But reports from Tripoli say that the facility is still broadcasting after the bombing.
Pro-government supporters continue to clash with protesters demanding the resignation of leader Colonel Muammar al-Qadhafi.
NATO has been carrying out air-strikes since March in line with the UN Security Council Resolution with the intent of ending Qadhafi's oppression of the Libyan people.

NATO the incompetent has become a rogue arm of the left/islam alliance. It must be disbanded.
Bob Beckel claimed dumping Kadaffi would only take a week or so.
NATO = Mission Creeps
What? We give terrorists rights but we deny the Libyan government their 1st Amendment rights? Where does Obama draw the line?
