The Dems are just trying to delay to the last second and then Obama will come running with the 14 amendment(play Rocky music here)

Vote on now for suspension of rules. Needs 2/3rds to pass so a vote on Reid's sham bill can be taken.
Looks like they need 290.

I just cant comprehend how anyone thinks that we should continue to raise and raise and raise the debt limit. We are at 14.5 trillion. In a few years we will be at 17 trillion and then 20 trillion. How in the world the politicians believe this is acceptable is just beyond me.
At some point it has to end. There is no other choice.
Unless I am missing something?
You’re not missing anything, but that fact doesn’t matter if our side can’t find a way to convince the public of that OVER THE HEADS of piss bucket carriers known as the MSM...they keep the gate as to what messages are allowed to get to the people. Our side has to pretend they don’t exist and get the messages to people in another way. I don’t know that method is. I hope they do and Breitbart, etc.

I used to be more optimistic that this would all be resolved. Seems like we may be approaching the point of no return. At least not a return without a fight.

“The only way to change this is to vote these people out. It would take a lot of Americans to vote them off the island.”
The correct answer Alex, for 10 trillion dollars; is “2012”.

It’s going down, 6 dem votes for, 132-154.....screw you Hairy Roid.
To: newzjunkey
Looks like it’s done. There’s not enough votes remaining to put it over the 2/3rds.

11 Dems and counting voting against Reid. That smells like bipartisan rejection!
The ONLY bill to pass with bipartisan support was "Cut, Cap & Balance!"
Republicans need to HAMMER this point. Since it was only tabled, the Senate can still vote on it.

Doesn’t this mean they do not have enough time, according to the rules, to get anything finished by August 2nd?

Brown, Snowe & Collins did not sign the letter to Reid that Senate Republicans were prepared to filibuster.
